Thomas sent this to me. This is the compromise version of the boat. Trying to do something that both motors and rows decently. Seating is aranged so that when rowing, the rear transom is out of the water, or as close as possible. Using a motor, the transom is in the water, but I don't know if it can be brought on plane.
LilJon8 with inclined transoms, flare to the sides and a 48" wide bottom. This is about the most stable 8' boat you can get.
The box version. Easy as pie to build. Just under 8', with a 48" bottom, square transoms and plumb sides.
This is the Original, with 42" of bottom width. The sides are a little taller though, at 14" instead of 12" on the original.
Here is a flared and inclined version of the 42"er.
Here we have flared sides but with plumb transoms.
This one has the front transom moved up an inch or so.
This is what a 10' version might look like.
