Construction of a ScoutCanu Underway !!!

My son wanted a canoe to fish a little waterhole that he found, so we decided to build a ScoutCanu.
Started bright and early this morning. Last night, I buttered and taped the rest of the inside chines.
Pulled all the ties and wires and started grinding. I have 1/4 of the boat done right now and you can see the sharp edge at the top of the picture. Still undecided about wire ties, they leave such big holes.
Here we have the chines taped and I am covering the ends.
Here is a closeup of the piece I cut for each end. Used the clamps to hold the boat on the horses. It kept falling off.
The outside now has a sealer coat of epoxy and so does some of the inside (waste not want not).
