--We did it. This just feels great. It's been a long road here and this is so inspiring. If I can say anything, this is for Blaine (Wilson) and John (Roethlisberger).

--I am sure that a lot of countries thought that we would not attend this World Championships. There is already a feeling of accomplishment amongst the US Team because of our firm commitment to be here in Belgium. We want nothing more than to take advantage of this amazing opportunity to represent our country with pride and honor.

--I didn't look at any scores the whole meet. I just kept my head down and did my job and didn't even think about anything.

--I was scared before we went out there. It took me a little while to gather myself and decide what I thought about the injury and what it felt like.

--There was no way I was going to not compete. I mean, NO WAY. I just thought that if I can even run down the vault runway I am going to do my vault, because I was planning on doing that double full this whole week. I've missed it every single time and I just thought, 'I'm ready to make this thing.' And I just kind of forgot about [the pain]. ~McCain on spraining his ankle before the meet began

--This was the best trials and USAs ever for me. I mean I didn't do that great, but I learned so much along the way. From landing on my head at USAs to starting out in 10th [here] and just slowly chopping away. ... It was great because I think the old McCain would have packed it up at championships; during some of those moments I just would have given up and given in to frustration. That's what I've really been contending with in Colorado -- not giving in to the frustration. Not giving up. Ron (Brant) keeps telling me that when your time is here, you'll have your moment.

--I was really exhausted at championships, I mean super-fatigued. Coming into this I knew I was going to do better but it was a matter of getting settled in. Like today, I knew I was going to do good, but I knew it was going to be close too.

--It's awesome. This is exactly where I want to be, especially going into the year of the Olympics. I mean, I'm beside myself.
