After the Magneto incident, the two were married. They had a daughter, Rachel. Life was good until an attack by the Friends of Humanity on Magneto's prison. Xavier had been there visiting his old friend at the time and was killed. Magneto was not killed, but crippled. Scott was devastated. Xavier was like a father to him. But he carried on in Xavier's name. He is now the new headmaster of the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youngsters.
