Be warned - many of today's most respected religious leaders - including Pat Roberston and Jerry Falwell - condemn these books as immoral and satanic. (Remember Jerry's brave stance on the Teletubby Issue!)
Harry Potter has no redeeming qualities. Children might learn about friendship by reading the books, but they could just as easily learn about friendship in the back of the rectory with a priest - and they'd be doing a favor for God as well.
Okay, now to be serious...These silly, silly people should just speak to their churches and leave the real world to fend for itself. I am personally tired of hearing the idiotic bantering of under-qualified cross humpers trying to gain attention by spewing out lies and hate.
Harry Potter is a fucking book. If you don't like it, fine. But your kids will read it if they want, whether you like it or not. Christians need to get off their 'control freak' horses. I've known more girls who got their cherries popped early on and were thorough sluts that came from strict Christian backgrounds than any other.
Poor fucking idiots aren't aware of the fact that not only are they poorly preparing their kids for life in the real world, but they are actually turning their kids against the very teachings they are attempting to enforce.
I'm sure if Satan comes lumbering out of a Harry Potter book that a little Christian has been sneaking peeks at, the child will lead the Prince of Darkness straight to the parents - who (according to their beloved Bible) should be holy enough to cast him out of their house.
And if not, that's one more Christian family going to hell. Nothing new there.
