My name is Hazirah M
I'm a Muslim Bruneian-Malay
So I can speak Malay as well as English
I'm from Brunei Darussalam, Southeast Asia
I was born on 23 August, 1986
Why'd I choose "Saya" as a handle?
Actually, I don't, at least not any more, if I ever did. Anyway, "Saya" is a Malay word meaning "I" or "me" in English. Hey, I liked it. It was... *tries to think of a suitable word* ...cute. ^^;;
The Present

Primary School: Jigsaw Primary School (1992 - 1997)
Religious/Ugama School: Sekolah Agama PAPMHB, Serusop (1993 - 1999)
I waste my time with reading, writing, drawing, using computers for junk like making webpages, playing game, going on the Internet and other crap ^^;;
Secondary interests? (compared to above ^^) PS/PS2 games, music, taekwondo, TV (yes, really ^^;;)
Favourite Things, in detail ^^;;
Bookish habits: I guess you'd call it... teen fiction, children's fiction, whatever. Damn labels. Sometimes you can't categorize everything...
>> Series I read: Discworld... erm, I'm blank on what else O_o;;
>> So-called classics or 'the greats' I've read: Pride and Prejudice, The Joy Luck Club... er, yea, what else? ^^;;
Favourite books: I fall in love with a lot of books, but these are my favourites =)
>> The Exiles (Hilary McKay) and its companion The Exiles At Home. I absolutely love the humour and sometimes I think I write based on this style or writing - and it's definitely rereadable for me! This is my ultimate favourite book, and I'll even place it above the following books...
>> The Hobbit (JRR Tolkien) is funny and full of action and adventure! ^-^ If not for this book (credits also to Ms McD for giving me a little info about it) I would not have found The Lord of the Rings.
>> The Harry Potter books (JK Rowling). I was one of the sceptics and I disliked all the hype, and refused to read it for months, but by chance one afternoon I picked up a copy I had of HPGoF and from that moment I joined the horde of HP-fans all around the world. ^^;;
Computer habits: Net stuff, graphics, games I'm actually good at...
>> managing my webpages, surfing, reading HP fanfics, reading webcomics, KiSS Dolls ^^;; ... eh, yeah. Can't think what else.
Comic/manga habits: Online and offline, comics just rock! XD
>> Comics: Archie Comics (always fun for light reading ^^), Asterix
>> Comic strips: Drabble, Garfield (these I just mentioned are dailies on the Borneo Bulletin), Calvin & Hobbes, Dilbert, Peanuts, and lots other webcomics on the Internet =)
>> Manga: Kindaichi Shounen No Jikenbo (Penyiasat Remaja in Malaysia), Cat's Eye (Mata Kucing in M'sia), Detective Conan (also the ones from M'sia), Violinist of Hameln... I've read Pakar Judo, Psychometrer (sp?) Eiji, Pokemon: The Electric Tales of Pikachu, plus those on the many scanlation sites on the Net
Gaming habits: PlayStation and PS2 only... I don't really go for PC games, for some reason O_o;; I'm not really avid gamer, though... I mean, when I play these games (especially FF!) I can become obsessed and play for a pretty long time, but all in all, I don't play a lot of games.
>> PS/PS2: I like the Final Fantasy games (I have FF5-9 but I haven't jammed any of them yet...). I liked Bust A Move/Groove 1 & 2 but I rarely play them now. The Spyro games are good fun and Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is addictive ^^;;
>> PCs...? I used to play Chip's Challenge a lot, as well as a CD-ROM game Zapitalism Deluxe (addictive!)... and Spider Solitaire and Minesweeper are always good for killing time =P
Musical habits: To be safe I'll say that I prefer pop, but anything that sounds nice to me can be from any genre... check out the music-related cliques, etc I've joined to find out more =)
>> Savage Garden - I used to really love them, but now they're no more...
>> CDs I own and/or love: All Saints (both!), Bond (Shine), M2M (Shades of Purple), Madonna (Something To Remember), Natalie Imbruglia (White Lillies Island), No Doubt (Return Of Saturn), Savage Garden (both!), Travis (The Invisible Band)
TV habits: STAR World and cartoon channels =P - not too much, but not that little either ^^;;
>> Ally McBeal, Angel, BtVS, Charmed, Dark Angel, various cartoons and comedies, and a lot more if you'd care to ask =P
Sporting habits: I am no good at sports, excuse me for not being athletic. I think I could be good at them if I tried them from an early age and had any interest, coz after all, sports is exercise and is healthy for you. Too bad I'm an indoor person. Heh. Anyway, these are sports I have ever played, or tried to play:
>> Badminton My sister and I have lost many a shuttlecock up on our roof; some have never been retrieved...
>> Basketball In PE, I run around so that I don't look like I'm slacking, and earnestly hope that no one passes the ball to me ^^;; Ahh, the life of a nerd...
>> Cycling I try to go biking at least once a week
>> Netball Tried and failed horribly when I was in STPRI
>> Softball A couple of PE lessons. Nothing special. ^^
>> Swimming Still very much a beginner...
>> Table tennis My dad used to bring me to try it out, but that was a long time ago...
>> Taekwondo Currently at grade G7, I'm a yellow-belt =). It's one of the few athletic activities I've taken up that I actually like and do regularly.
>> Ten pin bowling Used to be one of the few 'sports' I was fairly good at ^^;;. I average about 80-100, higher on good days, and my highest ever about 150. =P
>> Tennis Same with table tennis
