It was a beautiful day and Pet felt wonderful. Several weeks had passed since her birthday and she still felt a glow inside her. The Wizard had removed her annoying feather necklace and replaced it with an amazing silver one which had a precious magical stone in the center. The only thing she had to get used to now - was its weight. The feathers whilst very bothersome were light - whereas the new one was quite heavy but felt very reassuring around her neck. She touched the necklace admiringly and looked towards the Wizard. |
The Wizard and his Pet were strolling throught the forest and he was attempting to teach her the difference between herbs and weeds. A task that she was finding difficult to master as neither had any flowers - just leaves - and all green. However, she was doing her best to concentrate. The Wizard had had several serious conversations with her recently and she found her mind wandering towards those. The Wizard had become so important to Pet. He was a diamond to her- a diamond that shone brighter than the mid-day sun could ever do. |
His brain was as sharp as the diamonds facets and his sparkle reached through her body sending tingling sensations within her. There were only odd occasions now that she thought of her old life, of the people she had left behind. Just a handful of people that had ever mattered to her. Will- the window-tapper, Charlie - the chimney sweep and Polly - the Piewomans daughter. She hoped that they where happy - at least half as happy as she was now. She had left her old world without a bye-your-leave and wondered if they missed her. |
The Wizard had taken her hand to guide her over some stepping stones in the brook. She felt her small hand in his strong grasp and experienced such tenderness and affection towards him. She knew that this was where she belonged. The only place that she wanted to be. With the only person that she could be truly happy with. She was ready to commit herself totally to the ways of the Wizard - to be his soulmate through all worlds. |
