Lano & Woodley

||Seymour Centre||Bruiser

Seymour Centre

This was classic L & W, slapstick and song, a combination that has made L & W the huge legends that they are today. A definate highlight was the tennis match between the two that didn't actually use a tennis ball.

Bruiser

Lano & Woodley decided to change their direction a bit by doing something different- adding a plot. Performing random songs and sketches have always been their strongpoint, but this show left a lot of the audience (not just me) a bit light on for laughs.

The idea of Bruiser is that Frank falls in love with a woman at the gym, however she is dating a big boofy bully (like the alliteration), and apparently hilarity ensues. Apparently. Bruiser is a show supposedly needing four actors tofill the roles. Apparently the other two fail to show up leaving L & W to play all the characters themselves, often playing each other to get the story across. At first the idea is a good one, they have a great ability to take the piss out of each other. However after the first couple of times it falls flat and is incredibly repetitive.
