BANANA NUT BREAD
Ingredients:
1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose floor
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Method:
Cream together shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture alternating with bananas
and blending well with each addition.
Stir in nuts.
Pour into well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool on a rack.
Wrap and store overnight.
