Pound Cake to Die For

Ingredients:
3 sticks (3/4 lb.) butter or margarine, ...... I use margarine
1 ... 1-lb. carton 10x powdered sugar
6 eggs
1 box of flour (use the empty box from powdered sugar) (don’t ask questions, just do it)
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tab. vanilla, kinda over flow it

Have eggs & butter at room temp. if you can. Cream the butter & powdered sugar w/mixer.
Add eggs one at a time. (always break\check each egg in a cup 1st)
Beat well after each egg.
Add flour gradually to batter. Add flavorings & mix well.

Bake in 10 in greased (I use Crisco Shortening for this) & floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 & 1/2 hours ......until golden brown.
Cool 4 mins. then invert pan

NEEDS no topping NO icings.....trust me here
This recipes was taken from the back of Imperial Powdered Sugar years ago. It is one of the best pound cakes you will ever eat.
The only thing that is different is it said to sift flour 3 times before you add to batter.
Our flour now is already sifted so I don’t think I sift it anymore. If it messes up guess you will know next time to sift....*smile*
Sorry, I haven’t made this in a long time.............Pound Cake to Die For
