Ingredients:
3 lbs. sirloin tip, thinly sliced (1/8" to 1/4 ")
3 cups soy sauce
2 cups sugar
1 bulb fresh garlic, peeled and crushed
2 pieces fresh ginger (root), peeled and grated
(to make 1/2 cup grated ginger)
2 small round onions, chopped
1/2 cup cooking wine or sake (Japanese rice wine)
Mix sugar and soy sauce, dissolving sugar well.
Add
garlic, ginger, onion, and wine.
Marinate the sliced
meat in the sauce for 10 to 12 hours.
Cook over open
flame.. serves 6 to 8
