Figure 16 Frequency Plot and Schematic of Basic Wien Bridge. There are three parts to this figure. A schematic diagram, a frequency response graph, and a box showing the exact graph values at the location of the cursor.

Schematic diagram. There is a generator on the left labeled AC 1 Volt. The bottom end of the generator is grounded. The top end connects to one end of C1, 0.015 u f. The other end of C1 connects to one end of R1, 10 k ohms. The other end of R1 connects to the output terminal. A capacitor C2, 0.01 u f connects between the output terminal and ground. A resistor R2, 10 k ohms connects between the output and ground. End schematic.

The frequency graph. The horizontal axis is logarithmic from 1 Hz to 1 MHz. The vertical scale on the left is from minus 65 dB to minus 5 dB in 5 dB steps. The vertical scale on the right goes from minus 120 degrees to plus 120 degrees in 20 degree steps. There is a cursor on the graph at a frequency between 1 and 2 kHz but much closer to 1 than 2. The magnitude curve starts at minus 60 dB and rises to about 8 dB at the position of the cursor. It then falls to minus 56 dB at 1 MHz. This non symmetry is probably do to the unequal values of C1 and C2. The phase curve starts at 90 degrees and falls slowly at first and then more rapidly starting at 100 hz. It falls through zero degrees at the cursor and continues on down where it begins to flatten out at about 10 kHz. It ends at minus 90 degrees at 1 MHz. End frequency graph.

The cursor box.
The frequency at the cursor is given as 1.2923047 kHz.
The magnitude is minus 8.5195263 dB.
The phase is 195.7608 milli degrees.
