CROSS ENDS RELATIONSHIP WITH GREEN PARTY TO MOVE AHEAD

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012.

Brendan Cross has canceled his membership with the Green Party of Saskatchewan (and the Green Party of Canada) to move ahead with his own goals. This comes after a year of headlines as he was asked last summer to join the party as a feature candidate and ran for the party's leadership unsuccessfully a month later. After gaining no support for the leadership and recommending a number of policy ideas during a leadership speech, Cross declined running as a candidate in the Provincial election six weeks later. Since then, he has proposed a handful of ideas to the team of two-time elected Leader Victor Lau who currently heads the provincial party. Most notably the idea of approaching corporations and media for donations after dollar figures were released just before the 2011 election by Elections Saskatchewan. Also the idea of running with the debates of the day as brought forth by the Premier and the Official Opposition.

The Green Party does not accept corporate donations.
