As a founding member of the Canadian Alliance, founder and former leader of the First Nations Party, and current member of only the Conservative Party of Canada, I would like to add my voice to the 'debate' described in The Globe and Mail's article 'New Tory policy to audit reserves prompts outcry' (April 4, 2008).
Echoing the voice of the Chiefs, I reaffirm my adoption of the following policy statement from December 21, 2005.
'To have international credibility, we suggest creating our own Auditor-General. This would ensure truly representative financial management.'
Sincerely,
Brendan William Cross
