The construction of the Protel Sch library is VERY haphazard, and you
will see enormous inconsistancies all over them. Some parts have only one
set of power pins, some have the power pins on all components. Some
have various info in the associated fields, very inconsistant, some have
nothing at all in them. Some point to simulation macro subcircuits that
actually exist, some point to libraries that don't exist, or have different
names for the component. Some have the correct pin numbers for
DIPs, some for SO or PLCC, and some (just a few) are plain wrong!
And, for passives, the labeling of pin numbers are quite arbitrary.
Some caps have pins 1 and 2, some are A and B. You have to
check each component carefully!
