All Rights Reserved.The Sfx Technology preview release is provided to without charge under the following terms and conditions. By proceding, you signify your acceptance of the terms of this License Agreement.
Robin Davies (the "Author") grants you (the "User") the right to download and use the Sfx Compiler and Development Environment (the "Software") for your own personal use under the following terms and conditions.
1. The Software will cease to run after January 1st 2001. The Software may not be used after this date. Please check regularly at this site for updates to the Software.
2. You may download and use the Software for your own personal use. You may make backup copies, but you may not otherwise make copies of the software. If you would like to give a copy to a friend, please give them the URL of the Sfx home page instead.
3. You may not redistribute the Software in any form. This includes, but is not limited to, reposting the Software on the Internet. You may, however, post links to the Sfx home page if you so desire. I don't want to have to hunt down and exterminate out-of-date copies of this pre-release software on the Internet, thanks.
4. Despite the fact that this Software is currently distributed without charge, unauthorized distribution of this software may cause substantial damage to the business interests of the Author, including, but not limited to restricting the ability of the author to distribute future versions of the Software on a for-charge basis; restricting the ability of the Author to protect the reputation of his software product; restricting the ability of the Author to distribute updates to users of the Software.
Unauthorized redistribution of the Software in any form therefore constitutes a Significant and Material breach of the Author's rights.
5. The Author reserves the right to modify the software at his sole discretion. This technology preview release of the software may contain features that are not supported in subsequent releases.
6. This Software is pre-release software and has not been fully tested. As a result, Users of this Software do so entirely at their own risk, and agree not to hold the Author liable in any way for incidental or consequential damages occurring as a result of using this Software.
7. In jurisdictions where clause 6 is prohibited by law, the Author shall not be held liable for more than CD$30 or the price which the User paid for the software, whichever is less.
8. The Software may not be used in jurisdictions where clause 7 is prohibited by law. This software is pre-release software and has not been fully tested.
9. This agreement shall be interpreted according to the laws of Ontario.
