This is a great little rig to pack out into the boonies ! It's built into a low profile modem case with a slide off cover that allows me to access the output power control on the circuit board so I can throttle it back to save on the batteries while operating in the field. The slimline case fits easily into a small pouch along with an alkaline AA battery pack, compact paddle, mini endfed wire tuner & 46' wire antenna, and off to the field I go ! On the AA alkaline battery pack, I can get several days of operating, and it's no problem to carry a spare set of batteries if needed. If I were hiking into the back country on foot, this is the rig that would keep me company on the trail !
