Final Year (Political Department)
HALL GOVERNOR - BALEWA HALL

Reporter: What positions have you held in the past?

Adaeze: I've been the Treasurer in my Department, and in ABAGANA Studensts Association

Reporter: Can you tell us about the history of this Hall?

Adaeze: The Hall was built in the year 1963. It was a male hostel as at first but was converted to a female hostel. The hostel was named after Tafawa Balew, a pioneer politician in this country. As at present the hostel houses 530 students and contains 110 rooms.

Reporter: What problems have you and your government been facing since you assumed power?

Adaeze:Sanitation wise, our hostel is clean. Power has been our problem. Not that the station does not give light but sometimes, the current excedes what we require. This has led to our transformer bein blown although its been fixed.

Reporter: What have been your achievements so far in your administration?

Adaeze:They've been quite enormous. As said earlier, our sanitation has been superb, the light problem was fixed back after the transformer got blown. Burglary proofs are also being installed in our rooms. Also we subscribed for DSTV which is quite great.
In addition to these, we subscribed for the DSTV which is part of entertaining the students.

Reporter:Where do you think the government of the school should put more efforts into?

Adaeze:The school government should deal with insecurity because its not tight enough. The strike actions of the past should not be allowed to repeat itself as Lecturers should be paid on time. Finally, for we students, our libraries should be fully equipped with current books.

Reporter:What are your hobbies and dislikes?

Adaeze:My hobbies are listening to music, hanging out with friends, reading novels. My dislikes are injustice, gossip and quarelling
