Reporter: What positions have you held in the past?
Onyeka: Welfare Officer of Akintola in my 3rd Year
Reporter: Can you tell us about the history of this Hall?
Onyeka: The Hall was built in the year 1960 when the university was established. Third hostel built to accomodate the pioneer undergraduates of the university. Named after Chief S. L. Akintola, a pioneer of former Western Region. The hostel accomodates 305 students, has tuck shops, recreation facilities and various services provided in order to ease the standard of living of the students.
Reporter: What problems have you and your government been facing since you assumed power?
Onyeka:Its been diffcult trying to make students to co-operate and keep the environment clean, and funds are not well enough to run the Hall.
Reporter: What have been your achievements so far in your administration?
Onyeka:We got a new TV. Bouight a new satellitle dish, decorated the lounge with curtains, plastic chairs, renovated the tanks. Now we have 24-hour supply.
Reporter: Do you organize meetings for members of the Hall?
Onyeka: Yes we do, a congress is called atimes to discuss and deliberate on ceratin matters. In the Congress anyone can contribute to share his mind.
Reporter:What are your ideals in life?
Onyeka:My ideals include being a straight-forward, sincere, positive person in thinking & in act. Also being successful.
Reporter:What's your motto in Life?
Onyeka: My motto is to fear God for its the begining of wisdom.
