Raven witnessed some of Mikhail’s power and was very wary of it. While he explained some of the Carpathian ways he did not speak the whole truth. The first time they made love Mikhail fed to deeply and gave her his blood. Feeling guilty Mikhail knew he couldn't risk converting Raven to Carpathian. The second time he gave her his blood he couldn't stop the words that bound her to him for all time. Again he did the blood exchange without her knowledge and while she agreed to marry him she was ignorant of how truly bound they were. Mikhail was hurt shortly there after and Raven felt the full extent of her separation from him. Father Hummer helped her through it and as she was waiting for Mikhail to arise she was mortally wounded and almost dead when Mikhail again gave her his blood thus turning her into a Carpathian. Raven fought for her life not for her but for Mikhail knowing that he would leave this world without her. When she awoke she couldn't accept what she had become. Mikhail not being able to take her pain cut himself. Finally she tried to accept her Carpathian nature. This time when they made love he made sure she was aware of every moment and again he spoke the bonding words. Raven became a Carpathian woman with a human soul and a true life mate to Mikhail. She brought hope not only to him but also to all Carpathians! |
