Tempest realized that whatever Darius was he wasn't evil. The second time she told him that she knew he had done it before. Darius was patient and kind to Tempest and although Tempest was unsure about what was going on in the end she knew that Darius was her destiny. When he bound her to him Tempest was scared that he was just sexually interested in her until Darius explained that what they felt for each other was far deeper than human love. Darius refused to put Rusti in danger. He didn't want to convert her because of the risk so to protect her he didn't and he would sleep of the sleep of mortals. After a few battles and interfering from Desari & Syndil Tempest realized that Darius had to sleep the healing sleep of his people. He still said no. After a battle when he was dangerously hurt Tempest cut her wrist and offered him her blood hoping for the best. Darius awoke amazed at her sacrifice and converted her. This story was one of the most romantic simply because Darius truly put his lifemate above all others and so did she! |
