Flyer

You've always been a flyer
You stand out in the crowds
And you're always going higher
Soaring above the clouds

I could never sketch you
Because there's more to you then there seems
But I'll be there to catch you
When you fall down in your dreams

I've found it hard to feel hate
After all the things you've said
It's hard to think straight
You're taking all the space up in my head

We stand under
The moon that we adore
And you make me wonder
What I'm fighting for

When our eyes first met
You thought that I was sad
I was a little upset
About the day that I just had

You said you would protect me
So I wouldn't feel so blue
But you had an epiphany
That I was really saving you

For all my bad behavior
I'll never get to fly
But you could be my savior
If I would only let you try

You can be my sunshine
You can be my rain
You can be the thin line
Between my happiness and pain
