My Hero
You separate things that shouldn’t be mixed
And take care of anything that needs to be fixed
You do things that no one should
And comfort me when no one else could
I see you all over the neighborhood
You make everything good
For someone so extraordinary you look so plain
Always there for me when I feel pain
I remember when it all fell apart
You put back together my broken heart
Your true color never fades
You close my cuts when I’m out of band-aids
Strong as steel, light as a feather
You hold the pieces of my world together
And you may not have a mask or cape
But you’re my hero Duct Tape
