True Colors

The wind whistles a sigh
Across an indigo sky
As yellow light falls upon the floor

And as I look into blue eyes
And listen to your white lies
A black heart walks out of the door

With green leaves cracked and dried
A red rose has withered and died
I paint my fence in whiskey brown

But no matter how high or hard
It won't keep orange leaves from my yard
As the rainbow of your true colours comes cascading down
