Two Strangers
Two strangers answering a call they could not refuse
Two strangers walking a path they did not choose
Two strangers with nowhere to call a home
Two strangers with nothing to do except to roam
The sun was looking down one morning in May
And he saw two strangers meet each other that day
She was starting a new beginning
He was on his last chance
An unheard song was all they’d sing
And dance an unseen dance
And one night the moon perched up high above you
Heard two strangers say “I love you”
Neither of them had a place to call their own
But now they wander together no longer two strangers alone
