"Night Air"

This is a poem that I wrote on another night walk to the lake. It was cold and windy. I was sitting by the big tree that grew on the shore. We had a rope tied to one of its branches and used to swing out over the water. It was really tall and green. The subdivision committee cut it down when they refurbished the lake. I miss that tree.
This poem became a wonderful song by "Black Annie".

If you gaze at the moon on a a lazy summer's eve,
and breathe all the life you can,
into your center pulsing strong,
the night air fills your core,
the night air abets your soul.

The moon, for illustration, has the odor of insanity,
the essense is that of lilly of the valley and vitality
the coolness of rainclouds and freshly dug crystal,
the night air fills you core,
the night air abets you soul.

Then the stars glitter throughout the heavens,
eyes of angels soon to be born,
the body burns to death and the spirit is freed,
the night air fills your core,
the night air abets your soul.

Finally the planets wax to their stays,
elipsing bodies of eternal silence,
only sister moon reigns on them all,
the night air fills your core,
the night air abets your soul.

As life mist settles on all abounding greenery,
and Luna pulls the tides closer to their shores,
the night air gales in mystic splender,
the night air fills your core,
the night air abets your soul.

Today's the day, when it is raining inside, and outside the sun is shining. But still there is hope...
