White lillies and black roses
float on the glass pond surface.
Carnival-like tents
sprout from the ground.
The trees are filled with music
and jewelled with Christmas lights,
White dress and silver bells
worn on the figure of the bride,
Barefoot and elf-like
she capers through wet grass,
Laughter and congratulations
flow with the rose champagne,
Faces pass by quickly
family and friends all together,
The first dance is announced
and she dashes to find him,
He drinks at the bar
closely surrounded by his brothers,
Toasts ring out again and again
"To Fitty and his bride; our Sweetheart!",
He finds her eyes on him
rises beneath her worshipping gaze,
Takes her in his arms
spins her with dizzying speed,
"You're wonderful" he tells her
"I love you" she answers back.
