With all the hundreds and thousands of webpages out there, I knew it would be damn near impossible to come up with one whose contents and/or appearance might be unique. After years of struggling to come up with some groundbreaking idea, I’ve finally become enlightened. All I had to do was throw away this concern over “original” and do whatever it was that seemed good to me, whether it had been done millions of times over or not. And besides, what does it matter if others regard this as “original” and “different”? In life you can never, ever please everyone so you might as well please yourself. This site is not going to be for everyone. It contains a mix of short stories, poetry, novels, screen and stage plays, and song lyrics, as well as nonfiction essays (“thought-blurbs” is more accurate actually) on love, music, Taoism, martial arts, and just about any topic you can imagine…well, depending on whether or not it crossed my mind to write something about it of course.

Many websites are geared toward a specific topic like a certain band or movie star, but that was something that I couldn’t do. My interests are too varied. I decided to create a multidimensional webpage not only to (hopefully) entertain you people but also to help me further define my own views on the topics I choose to discuss. Posting things on this site will force me to carve out my own opinions better. I want to put a thought-blurb on here about religion, but not if my views are half-assed or incomplete or, even worse, seem to contradict themselves. If I give myself the goal of ultimately posting any thoughts here for millions and billions of potential readers, this will force me to fully evaluate how I feel about these subjects and why. Aside from gaining a deeper understanding of myself, I hope these essays inspire you to reflect on and define your own views. If you disagree with me, that’s even better than loving the hell out of every word I say. In the future, if you choose, you can even email me your responses, whether you agree or disagree, and perhaps I will create a “fan/hate mail” section. Be forewarned: only intelligent replies will be posted. You will never see a posting that says, “Dude, right on!” or “you’re a dumbass.” I know this is looking way ahead into the future, but if I get enough emails I might even try to set up a message board. The possibilities are only limited by my imagination.

So there you have it: my reason for establishing this site. As I grow older, my views are bound to change, and they will be reflected in the thought-blurbs I post here. I hope some of you will enjoy the ride.

Of course, up to now the only writing I have talked about in this manifesto is the non-fiction category. When it comes to fiction, the reason behind putting it on this site is simple: I don't have the time to research what book publishers or magazines would want my stuff, and besides not many places are willing to take a chance on a new author. They don't even like you to blend categories or be original. I told one literary agent that my book THE HUMANITARIAN MURDERS was a horror novel (because there's a serial killer in it) mixed with detective work (because naturally a detective is after the killer). Now these are two elements that are quite often found in the same story...and she told me, "It sounds like a mixed bag."

Mixed bag?

Was she friggin' kidding me?????

All I want to know is, how could James Joyce find someone willing to take a risk on a freaky experimental book like FINNEGAN'S WAKE and I can't even get a standard straightforward story sold?

At any rate, this site also serves as a way for me to get my fiction out to any potential readers, because that's all I really want...just to share my story with you people. I don't want to worry about all this agent percentage profit margin BS. And who knows, maybe one of my novels will get circulated into the hands of an agent who loves it and the publishing industry will wake the hell up (or at least loosen up).

Now please, proceed on to whatever section strikes your fancy, and I hope you find something here worthwhile. (By the way, everything you find here is copyrighted so no theft please.) This is more than just my attempt at defining myself. It’s an effort to be open and honest about who I am with all you people, and to hack away all the politically correct beating around the bush B.S. we face in this country. I hope some of you appreciate my view enough to join the fight and end P.C.

Enjoy the show…
