Our children are the treasures
Within our family
Children are the precious
Gems of our humanity
Their minds are filled with wonder
And sweet simplicity
Questioning with childlike awe and curiosity
So trusting and accepting
They're innocent and pure
Depending on the grown ups
To make them feel secure.

Bursting with vitality,
With laughter, smiles and fun
Each child is loved and precious
A very special one.
Their energy seems boundless
They have athletic flair
Skipping, dancing, jumping, prancing
Leaping in the air.

Watching young ones grow up
Maturing with the years
We look back on the nurturing
We gave with smiles and tears.
We hope the things we've taught them
The lessons they have learned
Priorities and values
Respect that must be earned
Will stay ingrained within their hearts
As they go on their way
They are tomorrows people
The children of today.
