Top 10 Favorite Characters
Dynasty Warriors is one of my favorite PS2 Games! Why, you ask because it is just plain fun! If you still don't understand, then I'll explain it to you.
Imagine your a Three Kingdoms Era general, in charge of troops from one of the three kingdoms, Wei, Wu, or Shu. Your forced to ride a light brown horse because you aren't high enough rank to ride any well trained horses. If you have had this dream you either receive reinforcements and assault the opposing troops, or you get trampled and defeated by the troops generals.
Sounds fun, eh? Well... let's start with thee characters. There are 41 characters in all, each with their own individual attributes. Each character has a unique Musou, a special attack that you can use when you have filled your Musou bar. Every character can acquire up to four different weapons(fourth being the best). Each weapon can do a certain amount of hits , 1st-4, 2nd-5, 3,4th-6. Some charactrs even have a special element for their fourth weapon which can be used on their 6th charge attack. The elements being: Electric, Fire, and Shadow. Shadow causes instant death to any soldier except generals.
I was talking about horses before, You have the privilege of riding five different kind of horses depending on rank. Not just horses can be used, but Elephants can be used in a certain stage. There are two different kinds of elephants, normal elephants and royal elephants. The Royal Elephants can only be ridden by a general with a high rank.
There are some problems though. Like a lot of Japanese games, Dynasty Warriors 3 has bad English dubs. But if you want you can just change the audio to Japanese! The game also slows down when there is too much action, but you can use this to your advantage sometimes. Other than this I think the game is worth the $50 if you don't cheat to get all the characters.
There is a campaign mode labeled Musou where you can unlock characters and stages and enable different sides to play as in each stage. Each character does 7 stages in Musou mode but some do 10 like the top generals.
