Grand Theft Auto, one of the best video game series! Grand Theft Auto III was a must for the PS2 it was a big step up from it's predecessor. Could this be the case for this new title?
In GTA3 the point of the game was to complete missions, drive cool cars, and blow stuff up! This should also be the case in Vice City, but Vice City is set in the 80's. The official release date is the 22nd of October, this year. Following the success of GTA3, Rockstar games is determined to create a game better then it, but will they be able to compete with 6 million sold units?
Rockstar is pretty confident in it's new product. They are convinced that the music is better, the sound is better, and overall gameplay will be an advance in this new addition to the Grand Theft Auto series. Though there are rumors on the web of fake screenshots they could be real, but if they are we're working with the same character, but they're not real because we have a new character!
UPDATE: I have found that you'll be able to ride motorcycles, golf carts, and possibly even rollerskates. There will be many more pedestrians, and the police won't just chase you, the pedestrians will be chased, too! I have heard there will be a new pizza delivering job! I have also heard that you can snipe tires, resulting in bad handling. More use for boats, and there will be canals, rivers, and more. More weapons, and some say you'll be able to go inside buildings! I'm not sure about this one but rumors say that all areas will be open, meaning no damaged bridges. You may also see gangs beating up pedestrians! That's all for now, but I'm doing better!
MORE UPDATES:I've read some new stuff! Here you go...There are around 40 weapons in the game, (that's a lot of scrolling) which is a big upgrade from 15. I was talking about shooting tires with the sniper, well... the cops will probably do that too, so watch out! With addition of a Machete!(heh heh heh!)
Here's the story, your Tommy Vercetti, a former street soldier for the Forelli Brothers who has recently been released from an extended prison stay. As a reward for his silence, a young Sonny Forelli sends Tommy to Vice City to expand their crime empire. Sounds good, eh? Guess, what? He actually talks! Which means he'll probably give those gangsters a piece of his mind, and not necessarilly on a bat!
Rockstar games seems to have changed the aiming system, I'm not sure about it but it aims at people that are the most threatening first. Technically you'll aim at the cop or gang member instead of pointing at the granny right away. That's not all, no this character actually has some karate skills! Most of the weapons also have new character animations.
In GTA III were you impressed by the variety of cars? Well, GTA3's 50 cars cannot compare to Vice City's 120 different vehicles! The motorcycle that many have heard gossip about is handled like a pro by Tommy, stretching out his leg for balance on turns, and using his feet to back out of a parking lot. Speeding down roads, even Tommy's clothing ripples in the wind, nice touch! There is even rumor that you can jump out of a moving vehicle, hide in trunks, and mess with parked cars(meaning you may be able to take out the brakes). There is also rumor that a lot more cars will be locked.
There is also rumor of Jet Ski's and Cigarette Boats! The water is more realistic, and the scenery is more beautiful...err nicer, I mean nicer. The roads won't be full of newspaper and garbage, the sky won't be so gloomy, and it Vice City is a lot more pleasant to look at rather than dirtying your shoes in Liberty City. Unlike GTA3 all parts of the game are open from the beginning plus it's twice the size of Liberty city!
Remember Lazlow? The hilarious guy that hosted Chatterbox in GTA3? He will be on one of the radio, though no one really know which one, but I think he'll be on a rock station, remember he said he worked on the Rock Radio station before he was fired. Speaking of radio and music, Vice City has close to 9 hours of music(and talk shows) all divided into 15 fictional radio stations. This beats GTA3's 3 1/2 hours of music of course.
This game also has 8000 voice overs, 4 times the amount of GTA3's 2000. Tons of pedestrians and they don't act so stupid, they'll actually succeed sometimes when trying to jump out of the way of cars! Gangs won't just beat up people, they'll steal cars, and get chased by police! It is confirmed, you will be able to go into building, and they're not just storefronts, there real extravagant mazes, like Casinos and apartments and stuff! This game is on the top of my list! And I know that a lot of my friends are going to want to play it, too! If you find new info that I don't have, E-mail me, some stuff I just may want to leave out! I'll give you credit!
