Though the
Alien Races page has more complete data on all the races of the Orion sector,
many people want to know how the various races compared in terms of
numerical ratings. For such people, this page has been
created. There is a similar page for Master of Orion II.
Note that the terms used are not defined here (although they are defined
in the games and their documentation). If it is a more general

Alkari: +3 defense level, +3 ship initiative. Prefer smaller ships. Excellent at Propulsion, poor at Force Fields. Bulrathi: +25 Ground Combat. Prefer larger ships. Good at Construction and Weapons, poor at Computers. Darloks: +30 Spy Fate, +20 Security, spy networks 1/2 normal price. Most likely to spy. Good at Computers. Humans: +25% profit from trade deals, +5 diplomatic levels when offering treaties and in High Council voting. Excellent at Force Fields, good at Planetology and Propulsion. Klackons: Twice normal production output per population unit. Prefer smaller ships. Excellent at Construction, poor at Propulsion. Meklars: +2 factories operated per population unit, no refit price for Robotic Control. Prefer larger ships. Excellent at Computers, poor at Planetology. Mrrshan: +4 attack level, +4 ship initiative. Excellent at Weapons, poor at Construction. Psilons: 50% bonus to research output, each technology has a 75% chance of appearing in the research lists, rather than the usual 50%. 2nd most likely to spy. Good at all 6 technology fields. Sakkra: Twice normal population growth rate. Excellent at Planetology. Silicoids: Can land on all planet types with Standard Colony Base, do not need to clean up pollution. Half normal population growth rate. Good at Computers, poor at other 5 technology fields.
