Fairy Facts
What are fairies?
Who are they?
Would they like to come and play?
Fairy Facts you'll find right here
This should help make all this clear!
1. This is most important. There are many different kinds of fairies. Some are described to be tiny, some big, some fly, some don't. Even the names differ. There are faeries, faes, elves, whatever. There are enchantress type fairies and happy type fairies. These types will be described more later.
2. Some people don't believe in fairies. Well of course. It's just like unicorns, giants, elves (see my other page), and fairy tales. Some people think they're too cool to believe in them. Some plain don't believe in them. Here are some other ideas:
Some people think fairies were a race of woodland people thought to have magical powers. Others think fairies were gods worshipped by the Scottish before Christianity. The Irish tale is: The fairies were angels in Heaven. When Lucifer and his evil angels had their disagreement with St. Michael and his angels, the fairies would not take either side in the battle. They waited to see which side would win. Because of this, the fairies were sent to Earth to make up their minds about whose side they were on. If they chose to take the side of Good, then at the end of the world, they may go to Heaven. If not, they will join Lucifer in the hot place. Now everybody knew this except for St. Patrick! He believed that the fairies were evil. There is more to the story which I may post later. Others (like me) think fairies really are magical spirits.
3. Whatever your beilief fairies are fascinating creatures. Recently I read this article about unicorns being a link to an old ancient peaceful world. I think that's what fairies do too.
Aren't fairies cool? Don't think so. Here's proof:
In 1917 two girls one age 10 and one age 16 took photographs of fairies,. They had no knowledge of photo editing and even if they did at that time photo eediting was fairly easy to spot. Want to see the photos for yourself? Go to http://www.lhup.edu/~dsimanek/doyle.htm for more info.
If you wish to find more information on fairies and all other little people you should look in “A field guide to Little People” by Nancy Arrowsmith. In this book Nancy divides all fairies, elves, pixies etc. into three groups: Light Elves- masters at shape changing who can travel through dimensions. Beautiful. Less seen by humans than other kinds. Dark Elves- live in earth or dark corners of human houses. Prefer dark corners. Dusky elves- most numerous cannot move in time space or place. Rarely travel. In this book fairies are classified as light elves well the old English ones from the time of King Arthur. " King Arthur himself may have even been a fairy,” states the book. The book says though that fairies now have slowly dwindled away until they are what they are now English fairies and Dusky elves. “ The old fairies are sleeping beneath the Earth waiting till they are need.” the book states. The book refers to pixies as usually hairy naked tiny people who originated from un-baptized children in England. It says they have red hair and wear green when they wear anything at all.
After reading all that info (more to come) I just have one question for you. Do you believe?

Fairy Quote
Here's a qoute from a book. I'm pasting a few around the site. I like orginazation (sometimees) so all regular text will be whatever color and the qoutes will be green.
“Nobody seems to remember that I haven’t given Sonora my gift yet.”
King Humphrey II threw himself down on his knees and clutched the fairy’s skirts. Queen Hermione II put Sonora back in her cradle and threw herself down on her knees too.
“Please save our baby,” the King pleaded.
“I can’t reverse anther fairy’s gift,” Adrianna said, “That would cause a fairy war and believe me, you don’t want that. I thought of making Sonora artistic. What do you think?”
-Princess Sonora and the Long Sleep
By Gail Carson Levine
That's a good book too! Even though I didn't review it.

The Fairy's Magic
Let the fairies demonstrate their power to you...
They know which day you were born...
History
Someone first found the fairyasaura in 2010. She found 25 adult female skeletons, 25 female young skeletons and 1 male skeleton. After this many skeletons were found. One male skeleton was always found with many female skeletons.
Anatomy
When the Fairyasaura was first found scientists studied it carefully because it seemed to have butterfly wings. Before that no dinosaur or reptile had had those kinds of wings. The fairyasaura did. The fairyasaura was a very small dinosaur. It weighed about 100 pounds. It was about 5 feet long when full grown.
Behavior
From evidence found it is thought that the dinosaurs lived together in families of four or five but gathered every so often in groups of 50- 100. They nurtured their babies until they were 10 or 11 and then the babies joined their mother’s gathering. The dinosaurs ate ferns and liked playing with flowers although it is not certain if they ate them.
Habitat
The Fairyasaura live during the end of the Jurassic Period and the Cretaceous period. It liked woody clearings and smooth flowing streams.
Questions
Did the Fairyasaura do magic? No one knows although there has been evidence to that effect.
There are fairies at the bottom of our garden!
It's not so very very far away;
You pass the garden shed and you just keep straight ahead
I do so hope they really come to stay
There is a little wood with moss in it and beetles
And a little stream that quietly runs through
You wouldn't think they'd dare to come merry making there.
Well they do
There are faries at the bottom of our garden!
They often have a dance on summer nights
The butterflys and bees make a lovely little breeze
And the rabbits stand about and hold the lights
Did you know that they could sit up on the moonbeams
And pick a little star to make a fan
And dance away up there in the middle of the air
Well they can
There are faries at the bottom of our garden!
You can not think how beautiful they are
They all stand up and sing when the fairy queen and king
Come gently flowing down upon their car
The king is very proud and very handsom
The queen now can you guess who that could be?
(She's a little girl all day but at night she steals away)
Well it's me

Fairy Poems
By Robert Graves
Children born of fairy stock
Never need for shirt or frock,
Never want for food or fire,
Always get their hearts desire:
Jingle pockets full of gold,
Marry when they're seven years old.
Every fairy child may keep
Two strong ponies and ten sheep;
All have houses, each his own,
Built of brick or granite stone;
They live on cherries, they run wild
I'd love to be a fairy child.
