This Edition of “Unraveling The Secrets” is dedicated to Robert and
Monica Girard and their “Arcturus Books Catalogue” for the many years of
work and dedication they have spent helping those of us who are on a
quest for answers to the truths.
EDITORIAL
It’s a sad day in the neighborhood.
For the past 15 years one of my monthly highpoints has been opening my
mailbox to find my Arcturus Books catalogue in the mail. I always knew
that somewhere in the many pages of the great little catalogue’s
offerings was information leading me to the next piece of the puzzle to
whatever mystery or secret I was researching or interested in at the time.
I never failed to find books that intrigued and exercised my brain.
For 15 years Arcturus Books has been my major source of new and revealing
research material. Some of the information I bought from Arcturus I
have never seen offered anywhere else, before or since. And some of it I
wouldn’t have even known was available without the little Arcturus
catalogue and Robert Girard’s right-on reviews.
Reading Robert’s reviews was time well spending. I learned as much
reading an Arcturus Catalogue as I did from the books I selected.
Robert’s quick wit, knowledge of the subject matter, and biting sarcasm
(when due) were done in an entirely entertaining and enjoyable manner. And
don’t anybody try and slide one by him. It never worked. Even though
he makes his living selling books through his catalogue he isn’t afraid
to tell it like it is. If the book sucked … Robert told you it sucked.
During the several years that Robert sold my Hollow Earth Insider
magazine through his worldwide catalogue I would sometimes cringe with the
thought that Robert was going to find something in THEI to cut me up
with. He never did, but I always worried. And it made for a better
publication.
When it came to the paranormal, be it UFOs, Ghosts, Ancient
Civilizations, Forbidden Sciences, Hollow Earth or any other hard to find
information, Robert and his knowledgeable wife Monica kept Arcturus’ catalogue
and in-house stock right up to date, while also locating and offering
older and many hard-to-find writings that are damn-near impossible for
you or I to locate. Needless to say he has the contacts for the best
information out there including the short-run books that the large chains
refuse to carry. You know … the good stuff. And he made it a point to
offer publications from writers working out-of-the-mainstream also.
Stuff like my little ‘zine, The Hollow Earth Insider.
Next month there will be no Arcturus Books Catalogue in my mailbox.
Nor in anyone else’s. It saddens me to report that we, in this
inquisitive community, have lost the best source in the world of occulted
knowledge. Arcturus Books is selling out all of their UFO/paranormal/occulted
knowledge books as fast as they can and will buy no more. Robert says
Arcturus Books will continue but not as it was before. Like Dylan
sang, “the times they are a-changing.” And it’s not for the better.
Unfortunately we have no one to blame but ourselves.
When Bob told me of the sad fact that people didn’t buy enough of his
specialized selection of books out of the catalogue any longer for him
to make a profit I asked him to let me run a little test. He had just
acquired a CD of the only interview with Richard Shaver known to exist.
As an added bonus Ray Palmer is also interviewed along with Shaver. I
felt for sure that among the readers of this publication … a
publication that goes not only to my Hollowearther list but three other Hollow
Earth lists and several new age type lists … that there would be many
truly enthused people who would want to have this rare Shaver treasure. I
mean, how much more targeted can an audience be? And come-on. It was
only 14 bucks!
So last week I ran an article about the Shaver/Palmer interview being
available on CD as the lead story in this Report. How many orders do
you think Robert has received for this CD?
ONE.
It’s a sad state of affairs. He was right. People are not paying
for information any more. Even rare collectable information. And we all
know why.
The Internet has spoiled almost all of us into thinking that all the
information we need is right there on our desk… and as a big bonus …
it’s free! We are being fooled into ignoring and turning our backs on the
old proven sources of occulted knowledge and overdosing on all this
free info.
I mean it’s so easy … Just click and look!!!
Sure there’s lots of information on the web. Most of it at no cost …
for the time being.
But I keep thinking of what my long dead pappy use to tell me.
“Beware, son. There Ain’t No Free.”
Someday, and not to far into the future, this wonderful avenue of
“free” knowledge is going to become controlled and then squeezed off. The
ability to control the Internet is already there … in fact it is built
in. And “they” are already making the plans. I believe that in the
end the UN, or a group like it selected by the controllers, will take
control of the Internet “for the good of ALL the people.”
When that happens any NEW information, other than propaganda, will
not appear on your screen. The information that the controllers decide
is “improper” will be deleted from the system for “national security
reasons” or to “protect the children” or for not being “politically
correct.”
From that point on all we’ll be able to do is rehash the same
“approved” info over and over and over … at no visible cost of course..
Then some day … way off in the future … someone will hear a rumor of
Richard Shaver and the Shaver Mystery … or Ray Palmer … but,
unfortunately, there will be no one left to take the time, or have the connections,
to locate the one recording of the two men directly involved discussing
what Shaver knew. And there will be no “old” copy of that interview
stashed away somewhere either. Nobody bothered to buy and preserve one.
And all the other Shaver information, along with many other things that
were once available to all on the Internet for free, will be no more ….
Not even a trace. All will have been deleted at though it never was.
The Shaver Mystery will have become part of the ever-growing “new age”
occulted knowledge of that time. History repeats itself.

Of course, by then it will not matter. The New World government will
be feeding us all the information they feel we need to know … over this
wonderful, worldwide Information Highway. And all for free!

The UFO Phenomenon in Mexico has been recognized as a fact in an
historic and unprecedent decision taken by the Mexican Department of Defense
under his Secretary of Defense General Clemente Vega Garcia, commander
of all armed forces in this country.
The insolate measure that will change history here in Mexico was the
result of a high level incident in winch a Mexican Air Force airplane,
military pilots and personal were involved in a situation with several
UFOs while doing a routinely surveillance ant narcotics operation to
detect a drug smuggling flight.
The news was released last night, Sunday May 9, 2004 by Jaime Maussan,
researcher and TV journalist during the TV show Los Grandes Misterios
del Tercer Milenio (Great Misteries of the Third Millennium) broadcast
by Mexican TV network Multimedia Television in the city of Monterrey,

“The headline was "THE MEXICAN AIR FORCE, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER,

PILOTS HAD ON MARCH 5TH 2004"
“The Video: It was taken in infrared mode. Shows 16 ufo's flying
around an air force jet. Sometimes the ufo's would hide in the clouds and
you would see them speed up from 75mph to 350 mph in just 2 seconds.
“The pilots: The news reporter interviewed both pilots and they said
they couldn't see the objects with their own eyes, it was like if they
were invisible or camouflaged with the clouds.
“The camcorder they used was not a handy cam but an attached
camcorder to the lower part of the plane as an exterior camera.
“At first they thought they had taped 8 UFO's, but once watching the
video frame by frame, the experts counted 16 UFO's.
“I recorded the 5 minutes report onto a VHS, which I will be
converting into digital video.”

MEXICO AND THE PROPHECY OF THE SIXTH SUN
Of course I find it fitting that Mexico should have the honor of being
the country to admit that, “Yes, Virginia, UFOs are real“ for a couple
of reasons.
As I reported in, “UFO’s Extra-Terrestrial or Co-Planetarian? Part 2.
The Case for the Existence of UFOs”:
Beginning on July 11, 1991, during the last total eclipse of the sun
this Century, a group of UFO’s appeared over Mexico City while hundreds
of video camera’s were pointing towards the sky. Thousands of people saw
these craft and hundreds of videotapes recorded their arrival.
[Although largely ignored by the establishment press after Mexico’s
flap of 1991, this was definite proof that the occupants of these advanced
craft were trying to make contact with us. And Mexico seemed to be
their choice of the place for that to happen. Added 5/12/04].
Brad & Sherry Steiger writing of this event in their explosive book The
Rainbow Conspiracy (1994) said:
“What might seem surprising to some though, is that the ancient
scientists predicted 3,000 years ago of the eclipse in the Mayan calendar!
Also predicted was that on the exact date of the eclipse a new Age of
Enlightenment would begin. It is referred to as the “Prophecy of the Sixth

they had enough proof to state that UFOs do exist the spin-doctors have
already come up with an answer. The old 1950s standby. … Gas!

Next we can expect a mucho Paso-costing scientific study after which
they will release a telephone-book-size “official” report written in
jargon that no one can comprehend. The conclusion:
“The UFOs in Mexico’s skies were actually caused because of a record
consumption of free-hole-ees (re-fried pinto beans) in Mexico City during
the timeframe of the sightings.”

TRIANGLE UFOs
Probably the most popular description given by witnesses of strange
flying machines in this day and time are those shaped like triangles.
Below are two reports on that type of unknown craft from the National

A Triangular Problem
Sightings of "impossible" craft in the sky are universal. They are also
universally ignored. Ignored, at least, by the official channels and
sources of power in our society.
This is nothing new -- students of the UFO reality have always known
this. Nor is the blanket of denial and disinformation associated with
this topic anything unique. I have howled into the wind about this many
times, decrying the inability and unwillingness of our mainstream media
to discuss an entire range of topics. Yes, this is old news.
As strange as UFOs are, I often think that the silence of official
channels is more surreal than the objects themselves. How can it be
possible that so many thousands (millions?) of witnesses continue to be
ignored?
One subset of the phenomenon, however, has broken through to the
mainstream. Perhaps we should say -- ahem -- the ‘fringes’ of the mainstream.
These are the infamous triangular craft. America’s mainstream culture,
ever rigid and narrow, yet acknowledges from time to time that such
things exist. Frankly, it would be hard not to. The reports are simply too
many and too clear.

Black Triangle Sighting Report
August 2002
This sighting of a Black Triangle is unusual in that the BT flew over a
large West Coast city (San Jose, CA) at a relatively low altitude, was
seen by two witnesses nearly colliding with a commercial jetliner, and
was heading from the direction of Moffet Air Force Base. Its low
altitude and its sudden acceleration to high speed indicate that it probably
had recently taken off from a nearby airport.
General location: San Jose, CA, 6.5 miles due south of Norman Y. Mineta
San Jose International Airport
Location of witnesses: 4718 Meridian Avenue, San Jose, CA 95118
Date: 28 August 2002
Time: 8:30 pm just after sunset
Witnesses: Kenny Thomas (35 yrs old) and Jeff Piexoto (20 years old)
Occupations: Recording musicians
Just after sunset Kenny and Jeff stepped outside their music-recording
studio for a smoke. The sky was clear. Kenny noticed a highflying
aircraft with a very bright light on it. At first Kenny and Jeff thought it
was an airplane, but they weren't sure. Kenny went inside to get a pair
of binoculars. He determined it was a helicopter, heading northwest
towards Moffet Air Force Base. At that point Jeff then went back inside.

ALBERT K. BENDER, UFOS, SHAVER, ANTARCTICA & THE MEN IN BLACK:

Continued from last Issue….
Pioneer Ufologist Gray Barker continued to investigate the strange case
of Al Bender the President of the first civilian Flying Saucer group,
the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB), and his sudden halt into
his investigation of flying saucers. So far he had learned that after
being visited by three strange men Bender had refused to discuss flying
saucers any longer. But he had admitted that he “knew about the
discs.” The men who had intimidated Bender so bad had also confiscated all
copies of back issues of the group’s monthly newsletter, “Saucer
Review”.
So Gray Barker and his friends begin to study closely the back issues
in their possession. The first “clue” was uncovered in Volume 2#1 in a
letter of resignation a month before Bender’s odd behavior. The letter
was from George D. Fawcett who was a member of the IFSB International
Council. Mr. Fawcett said he was resigning from his post because he no
longer was interested in investigating Flying Saucers.
But the interesting sentence in his letter was the last one, “… In
closing I’d like to use a favorite phrase of Charlie Lineberry, Lynchburg
College student who said, ‘things are really look up.’ I wonder if
some things aren’t looking DOWN, too.”
We pick up the story from Gray Barker’s book on the affair, “They Knew
Too Much about Flying Saucers” ©1956 Re-printed 1967:
“Now, that “looking DOWN” business. Could that have been a hint? Could
that have been what AL found out? Was he thinking possibly, in a
Shaverian sense? I think you can understand what I mean, knowing some of
the inside on the Shaver mystery…. Maybe AL tied in certain events, which
were stated by Shaver; such as pertaining to actual exits to the
underworld that Shaver swears actually exist. Shaver does claim there are
entrances … particularly in Virginia, around the Smokey Mountains and
that area. And if you take notice many saucer sightings have occurred in
that area of the United States. … (Page 87).
In the mean time, as Gray and a few of others investigate the Bender
mystery things were popping Down Under in Australia and New Zealand.
“Edgar R. Jerrold had formed the Australian organization about the same
time the IFSB had been launched. The two organizations exchanged
information.
“Jerrold had received a visit, too, I learned with amazement …
Jerrold’s visitor, too, had unexpectedly, and announced he had certain
information on saucers to give the investigator.
“He exacted Jerrold’s word of honor … not to reveal anything that
subsequently passed between them, without first receiving permission.
“In order to obtain the information Jarrold had no recourse other than
to agree to silence. it was particularly emphasized he was to tell no
body. Not even his wife…
“What the visitor told Jarrold amazed him “beyond description” though
he wasn’t frightened. He did add he could not guarantee others might
not have been terrified and “scared out of their wits by what passed.”
“Jerrold was also advised the title, “The Australian Flying Saucer
Bureau was not a very good one. The visitor suggested an alternate,
Interplanetary Ships Sighting Bureau.” (Pages 115-116).
[In hind site it is interesting to note that my research has led me to
the next issue I‘ll be researching. Namely, “why have we been
conditioned to accept the possibility that these craft come from somewhere
far, far away in another galaxy?”
Was this a step in that direction? Did the “Australian Flying Saucer
Bureau” make the strange man uncomfortable because it sounds too
“Earthly”? … Editor].
Barker continues:
“It seemed the next thing to do was to get in touch with Jarrold and
ask him point-blank about the letter, advising him I had seen it. I
would also write to Harold Fulton, head of the Civilian Saucer
Investigation of New Zealand, who, as I knew, was personally acquainted with
Jarrold and might throw more light onto the subject -- If he himself had not
already been approached. (Page 116).
In Jarrold’s response to Barker he admitted that, yes he had had a
visit not once but four times. He also stated that
“…Each visit was official and private, the first being quite
unexpected. The visitor announced that he had some amazing but highly
important information regarding flying saucers to convey to me … but that
before doing so it was imperative that I give my word of honor not to reveal
anything of what occurred, until permission to do so was received.
“To this I objected on the grounds that my silence would be unfair to
AFSB members and others, to which the visitor remained adamant,
persisting that unless this condition was observed he could tell me nothing.
“Finally, as the only means of obtaining the information from him, I
agreed. In discussions which lasted 3 hours the visitor then conveyed
information which amazed me beyond description …” (117).
[Although the visitors to Barker and Jerrold were nothing alike, there
were remarkable similarities. And besides what are the chances that
strangers will visit two men on distant continents with hot-new info on
their mutual interest that they will convey if promised the information
will not be passed on at approximately the same time. To me two things
are positive. (1). There was, and, is a definite conspiracy to keep
this information from general knowledge and (2) these early pioneer
Ufologist were uncomfortably close to an answer for these conspirers comfort.

Barker in reviewing what he had learned returned to the November 1953
Australian Flying Saucer Magazine editorial where he found the most
important clue of all … he’d read it before but didn’t realize the
“editorial said some might spooky things“:
“…The first intimation the Australian Bureau received of anything
unusual came like a bombshell during AFSB, CSI (New Zealand), and IFSB
discussions regarding proposed joint investigations into a certain United
States theory re saucers supplied by Mr. Bender.” (Page 119).
Barker had never heard of this “joint investigations” but he felt this
was where the answer to all of this lay. He decided he had to “get in
touch with Fulton immediately, now that it appears Jerrold could no
longer talk freely.” (Page 119).

“The Parliamentary Ombudsman's office in Stockholm also asked the
environment court in the Jaemtland province of central Sweden to explain
why a businessman, who said he wanted to raise monster babies, was
denied permission to search for its purported eggs.
"During a routine inspection of the environment court in Jaemtland
recently, we came across a decision that attracted our interest,"
Parliamentary Ombudsman Nils-Olof Berggren told the AP on Monday. "It was the
local environment court, as a superior instance to the regional
council, that had turned down an application from a man who wanted to search
for and hatch the monster's eggs, probably believing it was just a
joke."

Sea floor survey reveals deep hole

rivals the Challenger Deep which, at about 11,000 metres (36,000 feet),
is the lowest spot on Earth.
It was found during a sonar sea-floor mapping project carried out in
1997 and 2001 by scientists from Hawaii, US.
The Challenger Deep has been visited by a number of manned and unmanned
submersibles since its discovery, but at present there is no craft in
operation that can survive the crushing pressure at its bottom.

“UFO’s Nazi Secret Weapon?” As the owner/publisher of Samisdat
Publications LTD he published many other explosive and controversial books
including Christol Friedrich’s well researched expose’, “Germany’s Antarctic
Claim: Secret Nazi Polar Expeditions.” When I talked to him about ten
years ago, contrary to reports otherwise, he denied believing in a
Hollow Earth.
Mr. Zundel is paying dearly for his “politically incorrect” views.
He is presently in prison in Canada for his Holocaust revisionist
beliefs. Were he an American citizen in the US he would not be in prison.
While I do not agree with everything Mr. Zundel believes it’s his
right to think anyway he wants. That in no way takes from his inside
knowledge of what’s going on in the Antarctica and inside the back rooms
and secret club hangouts of the controlling elitist all over the world.
It’s that knowledge we need to tap into, not his politics…. Dennis

The Hacienda Dignidad Saga - Part 3

They hit upon a paved road, and soon they found themselves on a
driveway with a cut lawn on each side. They could see a white stucco gate,
Latin American style, with a high wrought iron fence on either side, and
then a long, heavy wire security fence, metal links with barbed wire
continuing on into a distant, man-planted forest. They were, in fact, in a
turn-around, circular driveway area, and there was even an electric
bell.
By the street lamp they could see some metallic reflections in some
high birch trees inside the fence behind the large gate, which had a
smaller gate for pedestrians on the side of it. This road carried on behind
the gate into a well-kept landscaped area, dotted by majestic 25-35
year old coniferous, German-type blue spruce, or Norwegian pine trees
familiar to people in Central Europe, the Black Forest and the Alpine
regions. There was a winding path up to the blinking light shack a few
hundred meters up a steep bank.
It began to drizzle again. The Japanese were lightly clad, shivering
and uncomfortable, sitting huddled in the car. Sepp had a waterproof ski
jacket and offered to investigate the light, while the others waited.
He decided to take a shortcut and climb straight up the hill. It was
slippery and rough going - when, suddenly, a car horn sounded, and as he
turned around and looked down, he saw several men in non-descript rain
coats surrounding the Volkswagen Beetle.
Hastily, he slid down the hillside to get there faster, getting himself
wet and muddy by the rain-covered high vegetation. The men had started
questioning the Japanese who did not speak Spanish and were clearly at
a loss as to what to do next. One of the strange men, to Sepp's
surprise, wore a forage cap used by German mountain troops in World War II,
the famous Gebirgsjäger of Oberst Dietl in Narvik, Murmansh and later the
Caucasus when they climbed the highest mountain, Mount Elberus, and
planted the Swastika flag on the peak, creating a worldwide sensation at
the time. The German spread-eagle insignia and the Edelweiß had been
neatly removed from the cap, but one could still see the outline in the
sun-bleached material. This man was muscular, bronzed, blue-eyed and
blond. More yet, he spoke heavily accented Spanish with a clear Bavarian
twang, familiar to my south Tyrolian born Sepple! Sepp knew he was in the
right place. He knew that was no local Indio or Chilean.
Sepp addressed him in German; however, the man refused steadfastly to
answer in German. In Spanish, he asked the team what they wanted, denied
knowing a Dr. Richter, and requested that they hand him their
passports, airline tickets, cameras and tape recorders. He then motioned them
inside the gate which opened electrically, although no wires or high
poles were visible anywhere. He motioned them to drive down the driveway,
while the rest of the "reception committee" followed them in their own,
four-wheel drive military type vehicle.
After 300-400 meters, they came to a series of typically German type
buildings - sturdy masonry with baked-tile roofs, stone and stucco Alpine
style architecture. They were told to park their car. Politely, they
were assisted with their luggage. They entered a large office/reception
type room, tastefully decorated, again Alpine type, and were asked to
make themselves comfortable. It was a building with all modern amenities,
electric lights, flush toilets, washbasins, typewriters, office desks,
office lamps, clothes racks etc. It had the feel of military officers'
quarters.
By now, it was pitch dark outside.
They were given sandwiches; hot herbal tea, some dessert, and then the
interrogations began - at first, separately in different rooms by
different people, some of whom spoke English with the Japanese. With Sepp
they insisted on speaking Spanish, an odd situation. They could not be
persuaded to speak German - even though they were clearly Germans.
No one answered any questions as to where they were, what the place was
called. No one claimed to know a Mr. Richter. No one admitted that this
was indeed Hacienda Dignidad.
The interrogations lasted several hours, and about 10 p.m. they were
all brought together again. They were told that they had penetrated a
restricted military area without authorization, and that this was a
serious offense - that a military police escort was on its way from Parral to
pick them up, and that it would be up to the military to decide what to
do with them once they got there. Their passports, cameras, tape
recorders, films, and luggage would be turned over to the military. It was
suggested that they could get some rest in a room that had some bunk beds
and blankets, and they were warned not to try anything foolish. They
could use the rest room but not leave the building for any reason.
The Japanese seemed pretty upset by all this and wondered what they had
gotten into. Their ardor had considerably cooled by then, and they felt
it was wiser not to press their luck und instead beat it back to
Parral, get their passports back and get out of the jam they were in! They
were satisfied that out in nowhere, cut off from civilization, there
obviously were people living with all the accoutrements of civilization,
European no less, who had video surveillance cameras, electricity, flush
toilets, heating systems, paved roads, tall metal wire fences,
automatic electric door openers as well as a facility where there were
multilingual people working in shifts, people connected somehow with the
military or at least the federales, the police, who had the power to take
people's passports.
Everybody was tired, and soon all were asleep, only to be wakened in
the early morning hours by truck motors howling, doors being slammed,
loud voices in Spanish. They were introduced to the head of their military
escort - a whole convoy of trucks and jeeps! After a short breakfast,
they headed out into more rain and fog, making visibility difficult.
Even so, they could make out numerous European type buildings in the
distance which looked like part of a community with neatly cut lawns, garden
flowers, and all asphalt roads everywhere they looked!
The trip back to Parral was slow and rocky. The team was taken to an
army or federal police compound where they were herded into a large room
and, once again, separately interrogated. They were told what they
already knew - that they had entered a restricted military area without
authorization, for which they could be jailed for a substantial period,
but seeing that they were foreigners, and that their press credentials
and stories checked out, they were only going to lose their undeveloped
film, same with the tape recordings. They were told to take their rental
car, drive it all the way to Santiago, check at the federales' posts
along the way, have their expulsion orders stamped at each place - and be
out of the country in 72 hours! Pronto!
The Japanese did as they were told - they left Chile in a hurry. All
were glad they got off easy. They were given their passports and cameras
and tape recorders back and went on to points in Brazil and Argentina
for other interviews on the trail of the mysterious Nazi UFOs. And our
Sepp told us this story as he remembered it.
A decade later, I was invited to Princeton University for a lengthy
series of Nazi UFO-related interviews, which were aired on prime time
Japanese TV in a remarkable if sensationalized UFO special with superb
computer animations of realistic Nazi UFOs.
Mr. Mattern never did find out what had happened to Mr. Richter - or to
Hacienda Dignidad for that matter. He died within a year, but as I
said, he was well into his eighties by that time. Sepp passed away a few
years later.

From other sources, such as El Mercurio, a left-leaning mass
circulation Chilean newspaper, as well as from the German weekly, Der Stern, and
the German news magazine, Der Spiegel, the following story emerges:
Hacienda Dignidad is a colony totally self-sufficient in everything,
technologically equipped with the very latest amenities. The community
has its own schools, teachers, hospital, medical staff, technical people.
It is claimed that mysterious testing of some sort is being carried on
at the Hacienda for the Chilean military. Even Chilean senators and
parliamentarians find all their efforts blocked, usually by courts, the
police, and the military. The German Embassy reports that numerous
Germans receive their World War II army, air force, and other pension checks,
which are sent to a collective address in the town of Parral, where
they are deposited into a joint account.
The El Mercurio newspaper reported already in the late '40s and '50s
that one of their reporters, in fact, did penetrate the Hacienda terrain
via back roads through the mountains, using pack horses, and that he
did observe strange flying craft taking off and landing in some remote
area of a valley away from the actual community - which is what Mattern
reported seeing during his one and only visit in the 1950s or 1960s - I
don't remember now exactly just when his visit took place.
The latest report about Hacienda Dignidad I read in the late 1990s in
Der Spiegel. There was talk that the community was run by an autocratic
leader. It was described almost like a semi-religious cult, but that
there were married couples with children there. After his visit to what
he certainly believed had been Hacienda Dignidad or a similar enterprise
in the remote foothills of the Chilean mountains, Mattern was of the
view that this place was a supply base for fresh fruit and vegetables
picked up by "flying saucers". He also felt that the colony served as a
rest/recuperation and medical facility for German-staffed UFO bases
further to the South like Tierra del Fuego and even Antarctica proper.
The story of the El Mercurio reporter, except for Mattern the only
other human being claimed to have visited Hacienda Dignidad, is in one of
my booklets in excerpted form. It was a bestseller in its time and is
still widely quoted, as is the hastily organized Admiral Byrd Expedition
to the mysterious continent of Antarctica in 1947.
The most extensive photographic documentary is to be found in an
exhaustive article in one of the National Geographic Magazines, replete with
maps and flight paths of the Byrd over flights, leaving out the far
more sensational revelations supposedly contained in Byrd's private diary,
which was forbidden to be published by U.S. authorities - or so it is
alleged. Its content was leaked by Admiral Byrd's son, who himself came
to a rather bizarre and mysterious end.

[Ah, but revenge can be so sweet! …. Editor].
This is an absolutely true story relayed to me by my significant other,
Marsha Ward. Cindy Withers is Marsha’s cousin.
My daughter and I had just finished a salad at Neiman-Marcus Café in
Dallas Texas and decided to have a small dessert. Because both of us
are such cookie lovers, we decided to try the “Neiman-Marcus Cookie.”
(Editorial Comment: Neiman Marcus is as a VERY EXPENSIVE department store
and favorite shopping spot of the elitist rich and famous world-wide
for their top dollar one-of-a-kind Christmas gift catalogues). It was so
excellent that I asked if they would give me a recipe and the waitress
said with a small frown, “I’m afraid not.”
“Well,” I asked, “would you let me buy the recipe?”
With a cute smile, she said, “Yes.” I asked how much, and she
responded; “only two-fifty, it’s a great deal!” I said with approval, “Just
add it to my Tab.”
Thirty days later, I received my Visa statement from Neiman-Marcus and
it was $285.00. I looked again and I remembered I had only spent $9.95
for two salads and about $20.00 for a scarf. As I glanced at the
bottom of the statement it said “Cookie Recipe $250.00.”
That’s outrageous! I called Neiman’s Accounting Department and told
them the waitress said it was “two-fifty,” which clearly does not mean
“two-hundred and fifty dollars” by any POSSIBLE interpretation of the
phrase.
Neiman-Marcus refused to budge. They would not refund my money,
because according to them, “What the waitress told you is not our problem.
You have already seen the recipe - we absolutely will not refund your
money at this point.” I explained to her the criminal statutes that
govern fraud in Texas; I threatened to refer them to the Better Business
Bureau and the State’s Attorney General for engaging in fraud.
I was basically told, “Do what you what, we don’t care, and we’re not
refunding your money.”
I waited, thinking of how I could get even, or even try and get any of
my money back. I just said, ”Okay, you folks got my $250.00, and now
I’m going to have $250.00 worth of fun.” I told her that I was going to
see to it that every cookie lover in the United States with an e-mail
account has a $250.00 cookie recipe from Neiman-Marcus … for Free. She
replied, “I wish you wouldn’t do this.” I said, Well, you should have
thought of that before you ripped me off”, and slammed down the phone
on her.
So, here it is!!! Please, please, please pass it on to everyone you
can possibly think of. I paid $250.00 dollars for this … I don’t want
Neiman-Marcus to ever get another penny for this recipe…
(Recipe may be halved):
2 c. butter 4c. Flour
2 t. soda 2 c. sugar
5 c. blended oatmeal 24-oz. chocolate chips 2 c. brown
sugar 1 t. salt
18 oz. Hershey bar (grated) 4 eggs 2 t.
baking powder 2 t. vanilla
Measure oatmeal and blend in a blinder to a fine powder. Cream the
butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix together with flour,
oatmeal, salt, baking powder and soda. Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar
and nuts. Roll into balls and place two inches apart on a cookie
sheet. Bake for 10 minutes ate 375 degrees. Makes 112 cookies.

Do we really live in a world that we cannot see (or understand) most of
what is around us?
Recently evidence collected by a satellite supported the theory that up

of the universe is made of invisible "dark matter" that scientists have

Exodus 20:18 "And all the people saw the thundering, and the

treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou

Israel." Daniel 2:22 "He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth
what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him."
Dark matter - If dark matter is an undiscovered form of matter making
up most of the universe, it would mean humans are not made from the
universe’s favored material.
Dark matter remains one of the great mysteries of the universe.
Scientists do not know what it is and cannot see it. But they strongly suspect
it exists throughout the universe because they can measure its
gravitational pull on stars and galaxies. The vast majority of the universe
must be made up of this dark matter.
* Without dark matter, scientists would be at a loss to explain where
90 percent of the matter in the universe is hiding. Based on the
movement and swirling of the galaxies, scientists have calculated how much
gravity there must be and how much matter is required to exert that
gravitational force. So far, they have found only a small fraction of that
matter. Without dark matter a lot of otherwise highly successful theories
are in deep trouble.
"Christian cosmology and the big bang are very compatible
understandings of the arrow of time," says the Rev. Frederic B. Burnham, a science
historian and director of the Trinity Institute in New York City. "There
was a beginning and there will be an end."
