Flipper

A Review by Sarah

As much as I praised Lord of the Rings, North, or The Adventures of Huck Finn, you'd expect another gushy note of triumph for 'Lij. However, in my personal opinion, this isn't the case, and it is now proven that just because a movie has Elijah Wood in it, it doesn't mean it's good.

Typically, you leave a movie knowing at least the most important characters names. Okay, well, it just came back to me that 'Lij's character's name is Sandy, but I don't have a CLUE about any of the other characters except that dorky, nerdy kid -- Marv. It hurts my head to even try and think up these names. So, I'll stop.

Typically, movies are surprising, exciting, and have those unpredictable elements that we all love. However, I have decided that movies about fish are all predictable. Seriously -- think about it. This has about the same plot as Free Willy. Before the beginning of the movie, I had already predicted the entire outcome of it, and continued to miraculously (yeah, right. Miss Cleo or not; anyone could do this) guess what was coming next throughout the entire film. Is that sad, or what?

Typically, I'm a bit nicer about all of this. After all -- it is an Elijah Wood movie, right? Well, as I have already said -- not all of his movies are incredible, and you should expect very little from Flipper. I guess I expected another epic film like Lord of the Rings -- definitely not the case. Okay, yeah, he was cute, but this movie could easily put me to sleep -- yes, even with 'Lij there, shirtless.

Let's hope that when I watch Deep Impact tonight and The Faculty tomorrow that I will be more amused and have more and better comments. Thank you, and good day.
