"Sorry about that." Zac told him. He had just gotten out of the shower and gotten his clothes on.
"Look," Jake handed him a picture. Zac looked at it.
"It's my angel!" Zac exclaimed. "Who took this picture?"
"Beth, when we were standing there near you two." Jake told him and smiled. "Are you finally calmed down about that girl?"
"I never will be," Zac laughed. "It's like, I miss her more and more and I need her even more everyday. It's an obsession. I have written so many songs about her. We're going to use them all on the next cd because all our producers and the guys love the lyrics. They are letting me use my favorite one to write my own melody and everything for." Zac smiled. He is getting more into the music because he wrote the songs and got so involved with them.
"Really!" Jake was psyched for him.
"I have an idea." Zac smiled.
"What?" He looked at Zac not sure was his mind was thinking.
"What if I write a song to Angel and I write the piano part to it. Then, I record it in our studio downstairs, would you send it to Beth to give to Angel?" Zac asked.
"I don't see why not." Jake told him.
"Great!" Zac said excitedly.
Back at Tara's, she was at a competition. The people that the judges approve on will go to state. They are going to be pretty strict on this. She wants to win so bad. She is using her music to get her mind off of Zac. She loves him so much and wants to be with him and get married and spend the rest of their lives together. But she is scared that it will not happen and doesn't want to get her hopes up on him. She is worried that the only reason he talked to her was because of her looks.
She is using her music career as a future for her and her future husband. She will have a career in music if it means her making it or her helping others making it.
The contestants sing infront of a judge individually with no one but the judge, the piano player, and themself. She was in the middle to go sing. She has never gone to a competition and she has barely sang infront of anyone. So she doesn't know what to expect. She knew that she had to do extra good because these competitions are going to decide her future.
"Tara, it's your turn." A lady said poking her head into the room she was practicing in. Kelsie looked at her and smiled and shook her head yes.
They walked in the room and Tara immediately got nervous. Kelsie told him what her names was so he could find the sheet of paper that had some of her information on it and so he could write Tara notes on stuff she can improve on and give Tara her score.
Okay, Tara, don't freak calm down, you can't freeze. Take a deep breath, think about the music, feel the music, be the music. I love Zac so much, and baby, I know you can't hear me, but I love you!---Tara thought in her head. Thinking about Zac calmed her down a lot.
When the music started she got nervous again and realized what she was doing. When she started singing she was put at ease because she loves singing and it's her favorite thing to do in the whole world! It's her thing!
Kelsie told him her next song which is a French love song. She got nervous again and then when she started singing that song she had no more butterflies and just really got into the piece because she knew what it was about and she can understand the feelings of the words in the song.
"Miss Tara, you take lessons?" He asked.
"Yes, sire I do, from Mrs. Kelsie." She told him and looked over at Kelsie who was sitting behind the piano and who just stood up.
"You are incredible." He said and had a tear fall from his eye. "You really are, I have never heard anything so beautiful and just, wow! I know this is probably illegal and against the rules, but here's my card. I would like to talk to you about your college career."
"Thank you." She said with a tear in her eye taking the card from him.
"Whoa!" Tara looked at Kelsie.
"I told you, you are amazing. It's not everyday that a young beautiful girl can sing Opera with such passion and skill like you." Kelsie smiled.
Later that day, everyone was in the chaple of the church that they had auditioned at. The lady got up and got to the microphone.
"We have everyone's score and when I call your name please come up and get your music." The lady said. It took about an hour for everyone to get their paper and sit down. "Now, there are only 30 people that are going to the state competition. Everyone was amazing, the judges even said so, but we really had to limit how many people went. When I call your name, come up and recieve your certificate and trophy."
Tara was sitting there and she looked at her score and noticed that she made it perfect! That the judge had the number one score on there and said she did not mess up once. But she couldn't get her hopes up.
"Tara, go," Kelsie said and her eyes looked watery.
"Huh?" She said to her.
"Go get your award." Kelsie told her.
"No way," Tara said. She looked up and the lady smiled at her. She walked up with a tear falling down her face and got her award.
