[The Final Frontier]

Welp, this is it. This is the final update for this site. So you'll this picture for the remainder of this site which maybe a long time, I mean if my old site is still up then anything is possible. Anywho, expect a new site by early March, but that will just be temporary until I can afford a dot com site because Angelfire is a whore that tries to fit an ad into every space where there's not text.

Anywho, thanks to everyone who visited this site over the past year and a half and participated in my useless polls and whatnot. Hopefully this new site will be better for all you kids.

Finally for those who are bored as I am and want to see some good movies I recommend "American Splendor" and "Lost In Translation". For those who don't know about "American Splendor" is the real-life story starring Paul Giamatti ("Saving Private Ryan","Confidence","Prviate Parts") as comic book creator Harvey Pekar and his struggles with depression and normal life. It's one of those movies much like "Man On The Moon", "Private Parts" or "Punch Drunk Love" where the main character is not meant to be likeable but that's what makes them more human than most movie characters. Harvey is never happy and when I say that I mean it, he's never happy or satisfied with his accomplishments or achievements which seems to anger people that have seen the movie, so keep that in mind and enjoy. Also check out "Lost In Translation" which is another unusual pseudo-love story like "Punch Drunk-Love" except less romantic. Bill Murray and the oh-so-hot Scarlett Johannsen give great performances and thier chemistry is great. It's much better than any of those crappy romantic comedies that have been released and should be seen by another that enjoys a good movie that has a heart. Or if you're like me it makes you wish you had a girlfriend or at least have a nice torrid affair in Japan.

Okay, with all that said I bid you adieu. God Bless and catch ya later.-AG

It appears that there is no person you'd like to throw a few fists at then our own George Dubya. Which cannot be blamed, the last time I saw this much hatred towards someone was when Limp Bizkit released "Chocolate Starfish and the blahblahblah this CD is garbage". Anywho, new poll, this time about music as usual. The "In Memory Of" section has had a few new additions of those who were either near and/or dear to my heart. The "About Me" section will be updated next week. God Bless!-AG

[The Masses React]

Overall I gave "Matrix: Revolutions" a marginal recommendations. Some agreed, some did not. Here are a few reactions and unlike most of the stuff I put on my site these are real responses.

Dan Krafft says: Matrix Revolutions= Amazing.

Paul Blakeley says: It was really good.

Dave Jaskowick says: I thought it was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, except for the last 50 seconds.

Brian Yost says: Fantastic, much better that Reloaded.

Nils Prehn says:Oten-gleeden-glotten-glowden

Ryan Gabbard says: What the hell did I just watch? Man, did that suck.

Eric Reed says: I thought it sucked.

Nick Barcikoski says: In my 20 years of watching movies, I have never been so disappointed. I want to kick the Wachowskis in the nuts. [Note: This response was heavily edited.]

So there you go, to each thier own. This will return no later than "Lord Of The Rings: Return of The King", which will certainly beat "Revolutions" down six ways from Sunday.

A argument for illegal downloading.

[11. 4. 2003]

[News]

Okay, I try to keep the complaining to a minimum (minus the "Hates" part of my site, but if you're going into a section with the word "hate" it should be expected.) But lately if you hear anything about the sales of CDs you know it's going to end up saying that record sales are down and downloading is to blame. Not that I don't agree with that but suffice to say the msuic bands have been churning out lately isn't exactly 'go out and buy it' material. Even new releases by decent artists (by my standards) like Sevendust and DMX are nothing more than bad retreads of thier past releases and could not pass as anything more than download-worthy. Furthermore we're being given bland CDs from artists like the awful P. Diddy co-horts Da Band (who by the way is not a band), Nickelback (who just want another "How You Remind Me", and eventhough I'd hate to say it but even CDs from John Mayer, Fuel and Barenaked Ladies lack energy and miss more than they connect. You may wonder why this is on my site and why you are still reading this. I have no answers for either questions but wanted to give you some food for thought. This is not to say that the music industry is dead and we should all download music. It's just to say that this year, a year that music has not been selling, has probably been the weakest year for music in a long time. When the biggest breakout artist of the year is Chingy then we know we are all in trouble. So here's to hoping that more groups like Prodigy, Foo Fighters, Incubus and Weezer will break the monotonous cycle of bland music and give us a reason to buy CDs in 2004. Until buy "Speakerboxxx/The Love Below" by Outkast, your ears will thank you.

I have no clue who these kids are.

[10. 17. 2003]

[News]

Well children Halloween is right around the corner and in Kent that means one thing, more drinking than usual. That and dressing up like a certain part of the male anatomy, use your imagination on that one.

Oh yes and you will be correct in noticing that the CD of the Week remains the same. and one more thing.... I HAVE A NEW GUESTBOOK SINCE MY OLD GUESTBOOK PROVIDER TURNED QUEERMO. PLEASE SIGN THE NEW GUESTBOOK!

[Scary Movies to Gear up For Halloween]

Yes that's right, no Movie of the Week this week. Instead I'll do some suggested viewing once in awhile in correlation to what's going on currently (i.e. Holidays, Celebrity deaths). But before I recommend some good movies, here's something you shouldn't see....

For every decent horror movie Hollywood makes they have to make 154 bad ones. This 'remake' of sorts of the 70's classic is pure booty. You may have been interested in seeing (as was I) from the trailers and commercials which made appear to be a psychological horror film in the vein of something like "The Blair Witch Project", wrong. It is the same mediocre brand of horror where the only scares come from the villian (in this case Leatherface and the sheriff) jumping out of nowhere with the intent to kill the main characters. It's still the same plot involving five teens who, this time around, are travelling to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert when they stumble upon a victim of Leatherface's who is so traumitized that she takes her life right in front of all of the teens (and in complete Michael Bay fashion, the camera pans directly through the exit wound in the girl's head). Eventually this leads to the kids ending up at a deranged sheriff (adlibbed and almost overacted by Full Metal Jacket's R. Lee Ermey) and a crazy man in a wheelchair's house which, ironically, also houses Leatherface. When Leatherface first revs up his chainsaw and is egged on by the man in the wheelchair it reaches the film's peak. After that it turns into "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Jessica Biel replacing Jennifer Love Hewitt as the 'hot chick'. Leatherface's intentions for killing the teens are never explained, Jessica Biel's character does nothing but runaway when her own friends are about to be slaughtered, and an odd subplot with Leatherface's comes into play but never goes anywhere. The same goes for the film, it ends without ever really reaching a destination that could be considered an ending. The director and writers don't go for the high road taken by movies such as "The Bliar Witch Project" or "The Ring" where blood and gore are more of the exception than the rule. Instead they compromise the lack of thrills and creativity with unnecessary violence. Maybe one day Hollywood will learn from thier classic horror movie brethren like "Psycho" that gruesomeness does mean a horror movie will be good, until then we are left with this. Grade- D-

[Good Scary Movies]

Okay enough whining, here's some good stuff

The Ring- If you haven't seen it yet, you probably should. It's not necessarily scary as it is creepy. Very well directed and executed by director Gore Verbinski ("Pirates of the Caribbean").

The Sixth Sense- The best M. Night movie to date. Even with knowing the 'surprise' the movie still retains its thrills and story without ever compromising character development for cheap thrills.

Scream- It started the horrible teen scary movie phenomenon and remained the best of the pack with a good script from the king of teen horror films Kevin Williamson that mixed comedy with horror and some great directing by Wes Craven.

Halloween- You can't mention good scary movies without mentioning this. Much better than it's 7 killion sequels, this movie is still quite good even with today's standards.

Seven- Not so much scary as it is thrilling. But definately a very dark movie that will get beneath your skin.

I LAHV AMEREECAH!!

[News]

Ladies and gentlemen the first sign of the apocalypse, Governor Schwarzenegger. Okay, maybe not. Like I've said (and Reed's said) if real politicianscan't get it done then you might as well use actors to try. Hey, it can't get any worse for California.

[9. 26. 2003]

[News]

Well I've tried to update the site as much as poosible so here it is, in all of its broken glory. There are probably typos abound but you'll have to deal with it because an HTML text block doesn't have a spell check. Anywho, for those who have not checked it out yet, check out Gaug's Summer 2003 Recap. Also participate in the new poll, yadda yadda etc. etc. You know the drill.

As for the Summer of 2003, many of you felt it was going quite well.....then you heard..."I like the way you move it Right Thurr". That being said after hearing this song 2 million too many times I have felt the need to cry turrs and the want to rip off my urrs. If there is any justice in America, Chingy will quickly fade and this song will be placed in the same place as past bad artists like Next, Mase, Silkk The Shcoker and Juvenile.

[9. 21. 2003]

Well school has begun and that means one thing, frequent updates. Why, you may ask? Because I avoid my homework and studying by working on my ite which no one goes to. Anywho, as promised I have my Summer 2003 In Review right....

------>HERE!!<--------

Yea, if you find it sucktacular, feel free to punch me in the face. Anywho a new poll is up. The Movie and the CD of the week should also be up soon for your complete lack of enjoyment.

R.I.P. Johnny Cash and John Ritter

This week the entertainment industry lost two entertainers, a country legend and a good comedian. Both will by missed by thier respective fans and peers alike. My condolences go out to both of thier family and friends.

[8. 21. 2003]

Well....so we meet again. It's been so long I don't even know where to begin. Well unlike what I had planned there has been no updates to this site since the dawn of time (Okay maybe two months). Possibly because I have been doing idiotic stuff as shown above. Truth be told I'm lazy.....really lazy and although I have accessed the Internet more than I'd like to admit to this summer I have barely touched my own site. Hats off to those who still visit and I thank you for adding another digit to the counter. By the end of this week I should have added my Summer In Review 2003 with reviews of music and movies and also some rants and raves. Until then you are stuck with this awful picture of my crumbling life ( or lack thereof).....Enjoy!-AG

[5. 31. 2003.]

Ah yes, the above picture above is me with the Foo Fighters' guitarist Chris Shiflett (I didn't get to meet the rest of the band, dang it.) If you ever get the chance to see the Foos in concert, do it! It is well worth your money and moshing energy, they put on a great show. And I'm not just saying because I'm a fan of thiers. By the way check out the new Concert section with pics from the Foos concert.

Congrats to our good friend David "Shrubs" Jaskowick, Jill Pascute, Jen Seifert, Sarah Prebonick, and Kari Scott on thier graduation from CHS. Welcome to Hel....uhh..I mean the Real World.

New Movie of the Week up soon......God Bless.-AG

[4. 25. 2003.]

Well it's been awhile (It's getting close to Finals Week, give me a break.). I've added a few new sections and intend to expand the Top 10 Worst soon.

I'll add more stuff in the next week and remember to vote on the poll, it only has one more week. Also, PLEASE SIGN THE GUESTBOOK! Thanks and God Bless.-AG

[3. 5. 2003.]

Well the polls have closed and it seems most of you will be a jerk for the rest of this winter season. This just edged out figuring out why Julia Stiles in her movie "A Guy Thing". A new poll is up and of course it's about music.

As most of you know last week Fred Rogers a.k.a. Mr. Rogers died of cancer. He leaves behind a huge legacy with his popular TV show and also his contributions to children around the PA area. He was a huge part of my infancy and childhood and will be sorely missed by those who watched him and myself as well. Thanks for making people's days in the neighborhood a bit more beautiful.

More to come soon....

[2. 13. 2003.]

Yea I'm low on pictures, so why not remember the awful, awful past.Moving on...

In an interesting tidbit from Warner Bros. and the producers of the new film "Cradle 2 The Grave". Apparently the movie had a completely different cast that just didn't seem to fit there roles quite like the casting directors had hoped. We here at the Gaug House (Okay, just me.) have obtained exclusive photos of the original in action. Here are the photos Warner Bros. and DMX did not want you to see...

Apparently DMX was not pleased with this extra's overjoyous attitude every time X "Gave it to him".

Apparently Michael Jackson is not the only person whose skin is changing rapidly. As you can see these two cast members' were changing color right in front of the cameras. Needless to say the scene ended up on the cutting room floor.

Let's just keep it at this: The cameras weren't rolling when this happened.

The look on this would-be star's face says more than I could ever say.

Instead of Jet Li as the star the original role was supposed to more "Miami Vice"-like with the stereotypical rich, handsome, white guy as the partner. But things got heated offscreen when the lead told DMX that his music was 'swell' but just didn't compare to Snow's early material. He never was heard from again.

This actress was hyped to be perfect for the part of one of DMX's 'fine, young (profanity)' but she couldn't stay off the bottle (or cup in this case) and also had only 1/3rd of her limbs (pictured here). Neither rumor could be confirmed but it is said that the second one is just because the person who edited the pic is a clumsy jackass.

This all leads to the last attempt at a white lead character. It is said that all he ever did was smile and constantly ask DMX if he could be a Ruff Ryder. Apparently X was annoyed with him and finally snapped after the lead asked him to perform "Y'all Gon' Make Me Lose My Mind" and "that song that goes something like 'Stop, Drop, something something Shop". He will be remembered dearly and will be put ot work nicely as an extra dead body in the background of the film.

Okay I apologize for everything. More updates coming real soon. God Bless!-AG

[2. 13. 2003.]

Thanks to The Onion for this beautiful Valentine's Day (aka "Single People Awareness Day) photo. I updated the Foo Fighters and N*E*R*D sections so give those a look. Once again more to come...

[2. 11. 2003.]

No self indulgence this week. Sorry, I felt the need to pay tribute to Nicolas Cage and his Oscar nomination for the fantastic movie "Adaptation". If it were still in theaters I'd recommend that you see it. But, apparently people would rather see KANGAROO JACK!!!! AHHH!!! America has officially gone to Hell.

Okay I've promised updates for the past like two weeks and they are slowly coming along. Patience, child.

[1. 14. 2002.]

Salutations again! Hey what do you know! A new poll, once again excuse my awful humor it's the only thing that keeps this train wreck running.

Yes that's right with 8 votes A Perfect Circle is the group that you think is overdue for a new CD in 2003. Right behind them was Prozzak, DMX and blink 182.

Well prepare for (Gasp!) actual updates to other sections of my site. Coming soon....

[1. 13. 2002.]

Hey it's been a while since I last updated this thing. First off Happy New Year's. Yea I know I'm two weeks late but I had to enjoy my vacation as much as possible.

I'd really like to ask the Grammy people how Nelly's "Nellyville" got nominated for Album of the Year. I mean I like some of his music but let's face it the album is no breakthrough.

Speaking of music I was gonna do this big look back at 2002 but...well...you know me I'm lazy. So here's my top albums of 2002:

1.Kenna "New Sacred Cow"
2.N*E*R*D "In Search Of"
3.Coldplay "A Rush of Blood to the Head"
4.Audioslave "Audioslave"
5.Queens of the Stone Age "Songs for the Deaf"
6.Red Hot Chili Peppers "By The Way"
7.Foo Fighters "One By One"
8.Nappy Roots "Watermelon, Chicken and Gritz"
9.System of a Down "Steal This Album!"
10.Ben Folds "Ben Folds Live"

Anywho hope you enjoyed your breaks and I'll update more of this site real soon.

[12. 10. 2002]

The poll is now located at the bottom of this page since the whores at freepolls decided to expand the size of thier poll it made all the pictures look lke crap, well at least on AOL.-AG

[12. 10. 2002]

Now take a deep breath...you may be wondering what happened to "The Road Gaug Empire" or even the name Road Gaug. Well seeing as how this site is far from anything resembling an old folks community let alone an empire I decided to change the name. As for the name Road Gaug well I think the name speaks for itself.

Nothing's really happened here as of late but vacation is coming quickly so expect the expectable.God Bless!-AG

[11. 27. 2002]

Well Updated the Thanks and Review sections and I've added a News Archives section so I don't overload this page useless crap from a few months ago.

I hope you and yours have a safe and very happy Thanksgiving! You know the Road Gaug will.

Well remember to be thankful for what you have and have a safe Thanksgiving vacation. God Bless!- AG

[11. 20. 2002]

And the winner is....
Well apparentely you guys couldn't wait for Jay-Z's "The Blueprint 2: The Gift And The Curse" to be released. Hey I just make these polls I can't control the votes. It won with 3 votes. Wow.

Well I've added a few people to the Thanks section and maybe I'll add some more to the Random pics, we'll see. God Bless-AG

[11. 18. 2002]

No update this week (well so far). I'll eventually add more people to the Thanks section.

Congrats to N*E*R*D and thier winning of the Shortlist Music Award. This award is handed out once a year to band's whose albums excel in creativity and musicianship but aren't widely recognized and sell less than 500,000 copies. They competed with other excellent artists like Cee-Lo Green, The Avalanches and a few others. On a related note, N*E*R*D's "In Search Of" album has been certified Gold.

Well that's all for now. I'll update this again soon. God Bless.-AG

[11. 4. 2002]

The Thanks section will be up by tomorrow night or so. It'll be a rough copy of it but at least it'll be there.

Enjoy this beautiful pic of me and this drunk girl...I have no clue who she is.

[10. 31. 2002]

Sorry that there still is no Thanks section, I lost most of my pics over the weekend but worry not there should be on up by Monday.

On a happy note, HAPPY HALLOWEEN. Have fun trick-or-treating or doing whatever you do to celebrate.

On a more solemn note, I send my thoughts and prayers to the family of Jam Master Jay and Run-DMC. For those who didn't know, Jam Master Jay was the DJ for the rap pioneers Run-DMC and was killed by a gunshot wound to the head on October 30th. If you think this doesn't effect the music community because DMC wasn't as big in the past six or seven years you're terribly wrong. If there was no Run-DMC there would be no Incubus, 311, Linkin Park, or even Aerosmith (Run-DMC played a huge role in the resurrection of thier careers.). The rap game would be completely different if thier was no Run DMC. They never supported the violence of B.I.G. or Tupac and never resorted to the ridculous self-promotion (i.e. Cash Money, Jay-Z) which makes this murder very confusing and angering.

R.I.P. Jam Master Jay

Well sorry to leave on such a sad note. Please keep Run-DMC and JMJ's family in your prayers. Stay safe and God bless.-AG

[10. 24. 2002]

I promise that thier will be a thanks section after this weekend.

For now I posted more boring reviews of probably this fall's two hottest albums, Justin Timberlake's "Justified" and Christina Aguilera's "Stripped. 3 Doors Down's new one, Santata and possibly the best album of the year all coming soon...

By the way, if you're gonna buy CDs soon GET FOO FIGHTERS' "ONE BY ONE".

Hope you enjoy this old pic of Shawn and me with the man aka Pharell Williams.

[10. 17. 2002]

And the winner is....

By your votes the Barenaked Ladies' "Pinch Me" reminded you most of the Fall season. I must say that highly agree. But then again I voted for Outkast.

Welp a new poll is up.

There's also new pics in Random Pics and new Reviews including new Foo Fighters and Craig David.

By the way the Thanks section will be up when I have enough recent pics. God Bless- AG

[10. 14. 2002]

Well it's been about a month since my last update so I figure I might as well update you on some stuff.

Well let's see...

Since this site is two months old you'd be surprised how many comments I've recieved about it...

Here are a few...

Ah...the old people jokes never grow old.Well I've updated some stuff and still collecting pics for the Thank You section. Until next time, God Bless-AG

[09. 18. 2002]

Well so far it looks like the site is getting a pretty good response. Well I added some new pics of me (That I stole off my sister's site) and put them on my about me page. Well I just felt like I should drop by due to my boredom here at KSU.Well God Bless.-AG

[09. 11. 2002]

Welcome to the new house of the Road Gaug. Thanks for stopping by. As you can see this site is slowly being reconstructed for your vast enjoyment. So be patient...Like you have a choice.

You'll also have to excuse the fact that the above picture is not my greatest picture. I'll try to find a good one.
