In my life so far I've seen many talents pass away, especially in the last 5 years. Some of them I may not mention here because their deaths may have recieved more than enough attention. Some of them I may mention because I could relate to them and some of them just because they were great entertainers whether on or off screen. Obviously I can not name everyone but this is a start and a tribute to those who have passed on.

[Jim Varney]

An underrated physical comedian who is best known for the Ernest movies and the voice of Slinky Dog in the "Toy Story" movies. He is the definition of a comedian who was both goodhearted and funny both on and off the screen.

[Kujo aka Horsedog]

Although he was just a dog, Kujo brought happiness to both the family of Kari Scott and those who came in cotact with him. With an intimidating stature for a dog Kujo looked to be mean but proved to have a heart of gold. Over the fall of 2003 he had to be put to sleep and will be forever missed by those who knew him as more than just an average dog.

[Johnny Cash]

He was a gangster without ever trying to be, a revolutionary that never needed a huge following for what he promoted, a man who was the antithesis of a person who constantly fought with his dark side and his religious side. He penned some of the deepest and darkest lyrics that will resonate long after his death.

"Ah, I'd love to wear a rainbow every day,
And tell the world that everything's OK,
But I'll try to carry off a little darkness on my back,
'Till things are brighter, I'm the Man In Black."

Rest in Peace Johnny, you will be missed.

[John Ritter]

He was a comedian who truly had a kind and caring heart. In the cut-throat business that he was in he chose to rise above all that an befriended pretty much anyone he came in contact with and also help form a few different foundations to find a cures for diseases such as Cancer. He will be best known for his subtle comedic roles in "8 Simple Rules" and "Three's Company" and a great dramatic turn in "Sling Blade".

[Jam Master Jay]

The man who redefined hip hop with Run-DMC and inspired other DJ's such as Chris Kilmore (Incubus), DJ Skribble and DJ Clue. He also proved that you don't need big name producers to make some great beats (i.e. "Rock Box", "Walk This Way", "Peter Piper") and never supported the gangster lifestyle.

[Owen Hart]

After an unfortunate accident in Kansas City took WWF wrestler Owen Hart's life his geniune kindness and personality shined through when other wrestler's remembered him. He was another example of an underrated entertainer and talent that is remembered more as a funny, kind person than another ring persona or gimmick.

[Aaliyah]

She was a girl that transcended from a saggy jeans ghetto girl into a very pretty woman with a great voice. She was never sold as a Britney or Christina because she was so much more than that. Always kind to her fans and endearing to others, Aaliyah did something most other pop stars rarely did...not let the popularity go her head and showed that she truly enjoyed life.

[Chris Farley]

A very funny but often misunderstood comedian who is known for being the overweight, doofy character. Chris always wanted to break his own stereotype but was afraid of losing his fans. He was often thought of as the charcters he played in his movies and he hated it which was one of the many reasons he resorted to a life of solitude and drugs. Regardless he is known and remembered for being very kindhearted and funny, something that can't be said for very many comedians.

[Phil Hartman]

Always underrated for his large variety of impersonations from Frank Sinatra to Bill Clinton and his many voices on The Simpsons, Phil was a great example of a old fashioned comedian who could still be hilarious in a time of the wacky Farley/Sandler humor.

[Mr. Perfect]

No entertainer, let alone a wrestler, could truly be more of a pompous ass on screen without ever being one off screen than Mr. Perfect. An old-fashioned techinical wrestler who not only showed the world how pompous, self-indulgent and insulting a character could be and how convincing a person could portray it. Mr. Perfect did it all perfectly (no pun intended) even for a wrestler.
