[Top 10 Songs]

[1. Louis Armstrong "What A Wonderful World"]

Beautifully written and composed. Raw and not overproduced like today's sappy love songs.

[2. Naked Eyes "Always Something There (To Remind Me)"]

One of Burt Bacarach's most well written about either a break-up or missing someone who has died. It's also one of the few remakes that for some reason or another strikes me more than any other remake. I'm truthfully not sure why I love it so much, therefore I really have nothing left to say about it.

[3. Sting "Fields of Gold"]

One of Sting's best songs hands-down. Sting's poetry in this song is so touching in this song, dare I say even more than "Every Breath You Take",
painting a picture of amber somberness and memories it's quite strange that this song even got so big from a time when MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice ruled.
The song will always remain timeless and is highly underrated both creatively and poetically.

[4. Foo Fighters "Everlong"]

The lyrics, the fluctuation of soft and hard rock. The song has everything a rock fan could want. One of the Foos best. Nuff said.

[5. Outkast "Bombs Over Baghdad (B.O.B.)"]

The so-called hip-hop "Bohemian Rhapsody" combines elements from all across the musical spectrum. Hip hop to techno to rock to gospel. Mix that with Big Boi and Andre 3000's rapid fire flow and you've got one of the coolest dance and rap songs ever.

[6. Tenacious D "Tribute"]

It's rare that a movie actor even comes out with a halfway decent song let alone an awesome like "Tribute". Jack Black's hilarious storytelling helps keep your attention combined with Dave Grohl's drumming and Kyle Gass' brilliant guitar playing propel this song into the reigns of one of the awesomest rock songs composed. Plus it's just one of those songs with and ending that makes you say "Wow, play that again." Oh yeah and you can't deny the fliggle-giggles.

[7. The Beatles "In My Life"]

It must be close to blasphemy to place Tenacious D ahead of The Beatles....well I did, sorry. "In My Life", best Beatles song ever written. Best love song ever written. What more can I say?

[8. U2 "In A Little While"]

One of the lesser known songs off of U2's "All That You Can't Leave Behind". Built around The Edge's breezy guitar riff and seasoned with Bono's soulful voice, the song is beyond anything U2 has ever done. The song was also one of the last songs that Joey Ramone requested to listen to over and over when he was on his death bed. He said "it's the most beautiful song I've ever heard." And that's coming from a guy that made music completely opposite side of the musical spectrum.

[9. Lajon Witherspoon "Angel's Son"]

Power ballads by hard rockers are usually known as cheesy ways to sell albums that normally wouldn't. They're usually half-baked songs about lost love or regrets. Not "Angel's Son", written by Sevendust's Lajon WItherspoon and helped out by Snot, the band whose lead singer the song is dedicated to, features some of the deepest lyrics ever to be penned by a hard rock artist. When Lajon screams "We still love you" you can't help but feel his sorrow and at the same times proves that this is not another chessy power ballad, it's actually heartfelt and sincere. Which is creepier than anything you'll hear from a hard rock artist.

[10. Lifehouse "Everything"]

Although they're written off of as one-hit wonders and "that Hanging By A Moment band". Lifehouse crafted one of the haunting yet loud ballads with "Everything". The song, which is the closing song on thier multi-platinum "No Name Face" is possibly the best note any band could go off on. At what seems a brisk 6:30 this song doesn't seem to waste a second of it's time. From the quiet opening to the loud ending it is just as touching as it is good.

OK,I'm Done...Sorry for wasting your time.
