Match Report: -
Brazil go through as England prepare for the clash that everyone expected, however, Brazil certainly did not walk it. Belgium attacked and threatened their goal on numerous occasions
Wilmots and Mpenza were outstanding for Belgium as they had plenty of opportunities disallowed , Wrongly, for a push in the back which was blatantly clear that he never touched him. a great header disallowed for a very poor decision.
It finished at half time 0-0 and Belgium deserved to be ahead.
Brazil came out of the interval sharpest although Belgium held off well, but the talent and flair of the Brazilians was too much as they held out until the 67th minute when Rivaldo hit a shot from the edge of the box and deflected off a Belgian boot which just evaded the keeper's outstretched arm. Ronaldo finished the job later on which killed the game and guaranteed a spot in the last 8 and maybe in the last 4 to battle out with England.
Unlucky to Belgium as Brazil just edged them despite of the goals scored.
