undisputed first-choice goalkeeper since Peter Schmeichel retired in 2000. Known
for his fast reflexes.

defender beside Henriksen, although he has spent a lot of the time on the bench
in Serie A.

Injury-prone fighter who plays on the right side of defence or in

Impressed in senior team debut against Saudi
Arabia.

get much time in the World Cup unless many team mates are
injured.
2-Stig Tofting (Bolton Wanderers) Born 14.8.69.
Short but strong central midfielder who moved early this year to
Bolton from German Bundesliga club Hamburg SV. Relentless in duels, known for
bruising tackles, hence nickname "lawn-mower". Explosive shot from distance,
takes many free kicks.

Technically skilled but hot-tempered fighter who likes to
take the initiative and relishes action in attack but sometimes neglects
defensive duties.
14-Claus Jensen (Charlton Athletic) Born
29.4.77
Stocky powerhouse with technical prowess compensating for
lack of height. Seldom hits a bad pass. Coming back to form after missing much
of the early part of the season through injury.
Forwards
Undisputed starting
line-up striker but relies solely on right foot to shoot. Strong in the air,
covers the ball well. Prolific scorer held in high regard for solid effort, even
amid sometimes lengthy scoring droughts.
9-Jon Dahl
Tomasson (Feyenoord) Born 29.8.76
Confident striker who likes to
shake off defenders with sudden turns of speed. Uncanny ability to glide
unnoticed into space in front of goal. Capable scorer with head and
feet.
8-Jesper Gronkjaer (Chelsea) Born 12.8.77
Talented dribbler with rare ball control for a Scandinavian player.
Good at moving forward with pace, drawing defenders and setting up scoring
chances with precise crosses, even under pressure, but has missed most of this

Fast left-footed striker whose
performances on the left wing for Rangers has proved to be of national team
calibre.
10-Martin Jorgensen (Udinese) Born 6.10.75
Fast, agile dribbler hailed at his national team debut in 1998 as
the new "Laudrup". An in-form Jorgensen can penetrate any defence but mood
swings can turn him into selfish ball holder.

Aggressive, attacking right midfielder who moves well with the ball and
finds team mates with good crosses but seldom senses opportunities to move into
free positions himself.
