Match Report: -
No shock win was accomplished here, but a shocking win from Germany as they absolutely hammered Saudi Arabia 8-0. The match was dominated by Germany and Saudi Arabia could only welcome the final whistle to spare further embarrassment as the score could so easily have been in double figures. Former 24 year old roof tiler Miroslav Klose stole the show with a hatrick after 70 minutes, in his first World Cup International 18 months after becoming a professional footballer. The victory completely unsurprisingly sent Germany to the head of Group E.
