Match Report: -
Turkey secure their place in the last 8 as they continue further
to challenge for the world cup which has been the most open one for decades.
Scoring early on in the first half was enough to send them through, but it was
all Japan for the second half and most of the 1st as they continued to press
forward and try to score.
However they could not quite get a breakthrough thanks to Alpay and co. and they
crash out as its the last match for them to play in this world cup.
They had done exceptionally well to get this far and no-one expected them to go further.
Turkey now face Senegal in the quarter final which may prove a tough match for both teams.
