Italy scrape through to the next round by the skin of their teeth after drawing with Mexico. They were heading for home and looking to be the 3rd big team to be knocked out, but all thanks to Alessandro Del Piero who came on in the 78th minute and he scored 6 minutes later.

Mexico controlled most of the game with some great passing and scored a great header through Borgetti.

Italy were lucky and saved themselves at the last minute.
