A draw is enough to see England progress to the last 16 after a nervy start. It all seemed to be going to plan but England often did become under attack from the Nigerians and they defended brilliantly through Rio Ferdinand.
He made some top class interceptions and has shown why he is under surveillance of top clubs.

Nigeria did not go out without a point and perhaps did deserve a point as they haven't lost by a large margin in any of their games.
