DAVID O'LEARY

O'Leary - shown the door

Davis O'Leary, as I am sure you have all heard, was today sacked by Leeds United Football Club, and they left on mutual agreement.... well that was what was said in the statement given. Obviously they had something to disagree about, and I hope to discuss some of those issues on this page.

One of the reasons his sacking was brought about, was because of the refusal to sell Rio Ferdinand and a whopping price of 35 million pounds. The Irish manager wanted to keep his star player just like any other caring manager would, but the club needs the money to get some players to put up a real good fight for the Premiership crown.

A lot of contraversy has occured over the last couple of years, and two names seem to crop up. Those being Jonny Woodgate and Lee Bowyer, although all that seems best to be left in the past. At the end of the day, O'Leary didn't do enough. Indeed, its been a bad day for Leeds fans

His 4 year reign has come to an end, much to the disappointment of Rio himself. His services were greatly appreciated by the chairman and the club but they were not enough to convince them that he was the best man for the job. The trophy cabinet is empty and needs refilling fast, who is the man for the job? Email Me. I will put some of your ideas up on the site.

O'Leary has now more or less threatened Leeds United that he will discuss some important issues if they decide to speak of him badly in any way. He could reveal some real secrets behind Leeds United and even hint to who his successor may be. At the moment, the odds are looking like they are favouring Martin O'Neill, but we will have to see..

More on this story to follow soon..
