Match Report: -
A rather fortunate goal was the difference between these two
teams as they battled out a rather dull match. South Africa went looking for
chances the most but didn't find a way through, although striker Benni McCarthy
should have scored at least once, hitting the bar.
After just 4 minutes though, came a fortunate goal, the scorer being Nomvethe.
Slovenia didn't seem to put up a fight as South Africa recorded their first win
in the finals. Also this win could prove Slovenia being left behind and to book
early tickets home unless they show some extra form against Paraguay in their
last match.
