Match Report: -

Another world cup shocker as South Korea score their most crucial goal of the competition with a golden goal, 2 minutes before the time which would signal the dreaded penalties. Although they missed a penalty early on, they never sat back to let Italy come at them although Italy proved very strong when a corner was aimed at Vieri or headed the ball into the top right hand corner to edge Italy in front after 18 minutes. After that point, Italy seemed to shut up shop and let South Korea attack but they couldn't make a difference before half time.

The second half was very similar to the end of the first as Korea attacked and attacked but just could not find the breakthrough until 88 minutes. A shot into the bottom right secured the extra time and it was then where South Korea scored the golden goal to send the Italians crashing out of the world cup.

A superb performance and possibly the biggest shock yet as Italy were simply stunned.
