Match Report: -

Unfortunately, it was too much for Nigeria as they are now officially out of the world cup. After taking the lead in the first minute through Agehahowa, they were looking strong and they had their chances. But the Swedish side were to take control and score 2 goals, both through Henrik Larsson.

Larsson scored 8 minutes after they went behind. They had more clear cut chances than the Nigerians although they did battle as they hit the post twice. The Swedish coach was pleased with his sides team effort and of course the double goal scorer, Larsson. He said that they deserved the win as they had more chances.

The Nigerian coach was rightly disappointed as his side scraped to a defeat which confirms their early tickets home. They had done exceptionally well in qualifying but the Swedes were too much for them. He says his team will still go out with fighting spirit against England, but unfortunately, they are out.
