Metal Gear is one of most developed, and enthralling games ever to be released on any system. The game series of Metal Gear began way back in the 1980s when Metal Gear 1 was released on the Nintendo NES System. Later on the MSX, a Japanese console which a lot was talked about at the time, became the base for Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. A poor sequel not featuring the expertise of Hideo Kojima was later released on the Nintendo SNES System. After the Sony Playstation was released Konami and Hideo Kojima started on a game of all games, a game of the future. This game was to be the best ever Playstation1 Game, Metal Gear Solid. Another average sequel was also released on the Gameboy called Metal Gear: Ghost Babel. When the Playstation2 was announced Konami and Kojima decided to do what they had 4 years previously, Make a game to be the best ever on that console, that game is Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Solid Snake
The Metal Gear series revolves around you controlling the great American hero, Solid Snake. Solid Snake is a former member of FOX-Hound, the terrorist group involved in Metal Gear Solid. Snake is in this group for the first games, Metal Gear1 and Metal Gear2: Solid Snake (These two games almost the others will be added to the site later when I have the right data). After Metal Gear2: Solid Snake, becomes a Mercenary, meaning he offers his services to the highest bidder. He takes his part in Metal Gear Solid under the guise of Roy Campbell, his former colonel and friend. After the Metal Gear Solid incident, Snake and Octacon (Hal Emmerich, a former scientist from Shadow Mosses Island) join an anti Metal Gear group and when its heard there is another Metal Gear on the loose, They offer their services to stop it. This is the backdrop for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, to be released in November 2001 in the USA.
